A day later and this whole thing is a complete mess and what's more it is sapping energy and time that should be spent on other things. Where is our Government? Who on earth do the tories think they are. Why should we wait three months for them to sort out their internal leadership battle and replace one !!!!!! with another !!!!!!. Get it sorted and then lets have a General Election. Its totally disfunctional at present.

Meanwhile Sturgeon is running rings around them!
Soon we'll have a border in Ireland and in Northumberland as well. The Union will consist of England and Wales.....is that what the Brexiteers wanted......they've taken back control........ yes.....of a shrinking state!

We are a laughing stock. I am so ashamed to be British at present. We are so small time and deluded. Our future has been decided by people who have no idea what the consequences are of their vote and were really motivated by hatred of immigrants and old farts who were selfishly dreaming of a past they have totally romanticised........... denying the next generation their opportunities in the process.
Something else as well.......I will personally never accept that 52% is a valid majority ....for such a momentous decision it surely should have had a higher margin. Farage is on record that if Remain won by a narrow margin UKIP wouldn’t consider it settled by a long shot.’

seems strange that some-one who supports an IRA loving clique, running the labour party, is ashamed of a democratic process (with the wrong result of course):
but I guess no surprise there, as it would never happen in a proper left wing state.

I need to add that the picture actually comes from when dear Boris was Mayor of London and got stuck on the zip wire which was one of the things set up in London during the 'lympics. It's not a photoshop job.
Now free from the incompetence of vodafail

There is actually nothing to regret yet. There might never be anything to regret. Boris always wanted a second referendum.

Mind you it's increasingly looking like we will be chucked out by the EU sometime next week. Can't blame them.

Still much talk of A London City State. Nicola Sturgeon said that Sadiq Khan has been talking to the EU.

    There's a petition for that too :D - started by James O'Malley

He has no mandate to do so – that is certainly not within his remit. He is only mayor of London, and that office actually has very little power.

    Interesting take on Article 50.

Some of you may get your wish for negotiations to start sooner than planned.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-36631518

Article 50 makes it clear that it can only be triggered by the Nation concerned through its constitutional processes. The UK process is a vote in Parliament. The Referendum is strictly advisory. So I do not think that argument will run.

Of course he is an expert, but what do they know!
Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.
