    what vacuum is that?

The vacuum in which businesses stop investing, stop recruiting and stop creating jobs. The vacuum in which trillions of dollars are lost because of uncertainty. The vacuum in which right wing politicians create hate.

I don't see any rush to invoke article 50, I can see why the EU wants to make it look like the EU is under pressure to discourage any one else but as far as I can see everyone should be allowed a vote. If the EU is self evidently the answer then they need have no fear of anyone else following our lead....
    I think....

if I were cynical, I would think you didn't like the democratic decision of the people of the UK

however, a month of so, to allow the tories to go through their own process for appointing a new leader, is quite proportionate and won't make any difference to WW3 or financial armageddon

    It's not a month or so - it's 4 months.

Anyone, would think our politicians are trying to duck out of facing up to what they've done?

Or maybe they have no intention of invoking Article 50? Ever.

We're like a bad guest that just won't leave the party when it's over.

indeed a good question why would we invoke article 50?
what benefit is it for us?

ER, to advise the EU formally that we are leaving! Would you leave your job without resigning first?

Failing to invoke Article 50 for months will create massive amounts of uncertainty.
There are people who believe that the government actually has no intention of leaving the EU. Indeed, Boris was for a second referendum after this referendum. This was BoJo's strategy - in the hope of negotiating a better deal with Brussels. How do we know this still isn't his strategy?

We always could make our own laws. You've won now, you can stop the lies. They serve no more purpose.

Our delaying is a superb bargaining chip

German Finance Minister has said agin just now a good relationship with the U.K. is essential and remember we and Germans have been like minded partners inside the EU. He mentioned we might get some sort of associated partner status, in other words free trade just as Leavers argued would be the case

as I understand article 50 (happy to be corrected) is that is this gives 2 years to decide our divorce: what is to stop this process starting without 'formal notice'?

I guess the EU could refuse to discuss anything until we give notice but what does this achieve?
