If we vote for Brexit what happens

Even if I accepted this argument, who is to say that the rEU will not say: we have two years then we can ditch this ungrateful lot. In that scenarion trade continues as before but the 8% they export to us gradually declines as they increase trade with Canada and others. Meanwhile our exports to the EU decline to 30% as they seek alternative markets.
The idea that it is necessary to disrupt trade is misleading it will just decline as the EU looks elsewhere. Meanwhile we will be frantically trying to negotiate trade deals with nations who do not see us as important any longer.
This is also the consequence of the Brexit economist Minford's policy of allowing manufacturing to decline.
more likely that with tariffs post brexit we will just produce more locally and both export and import less.
For instance the UK imports about £500m worth of bottled water a year. No reason we couldn't just switch consumption to uk water in a bottle.0 -
Companies will continuing what they do. If tariffs change costs and or prices can change to. Profiability will be assessed.
Noone will be rushing to find business in country x y or zLeft is never right but I always am.0 -

Probably true but last night we say some ex steelworkers who blame the EU for their redundancy. The fact that the Brexit economist Patrick Minford favours an economic policy that destroys much of our remaining manufacturing industry (a fact that Farage described as regrettable) is testimony that some Brexiteers are not the sharpest knives on the block.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
which politicians wants to expel the foreign born people?

i think the only solution is to ban these people from voting. They obviously haven't got the mental capacity to understand complex issues like this. Or maybe we could let them vote, but simply not bother counting their voting slips. At least that way they'll think that their opinion counts and the intelligent members of the electorate can all be guaranteed to make the correct decision.0 -
so no-one that any of us have heard of.0 -
I thought Gove smashed it on QT earlier. I don't get why some Bremainers are having a pop at Gove for being a Tory, they seem to see this referendum as an extension of a Labour/Tory battle in a normal election.
When the two biggest advocates for remain are the two most hated Tories in Cameron and Osborne, it just seems ridiculous to play the party political card. Perhaps Vote Leaves more cohesive and collegiate campaign is more to the publics liking and is now being reflected in the polls.“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

I must admit that I wouldn't expect steel workers to be the sharpest knives on the block: indeed I would say that anyone that thought that would be so, wouldn't themselves be the sharpest knife on the thread0 -
I'm sure that China, Indian, Aus, NZ, USA, Canada, Pacific Islands, Brazil, Nepal, Russia, Korea, Somalia, Kenya and the other 180 countries of the world, will all be queuing up to renounce their own sovereignty to get that precious EU passport.
One wonders how they have existed for so long without one.
But i guess you will want Turkey to be fasted tracked in view of the rush.
Are you in favour of getting back our sovereignty from just the EU or other international organisations too?
Example: As a result of being a member of NATO, if any one of the following countries is attacked, we must be at war against the attacker:
Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, the United States, Greece, Turkey, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Albania and Croatia
Presumably you are very strongly in favour of leaving NATO?0 -
