If we vote for Brexit what happens

Re : timing of the Brexit referendum.
Did anyone here the Scottish spokesperson in the Euro parliament earlier.
He stated that the possibility of a June referendum this year was undemocratic because of it's proximity to the Scottish May elections.
Sheesh! As if it wasnt complicated enough for Cameron!0 -
As much as I appreciate the focus on migration is important, there are other issues.
If you scan through various threads in DT and elsewhere, you get the feeling there is a lack of confidence/trust in the EU itself.
Whether that is a wrong perception or not could be endlessly debated.
My question would be, how does the Cameron / IN team address something like this which is essentially outside his control?
A Brussels MP in the European debate this morning called UK a "dwarf" country. He might actually be right, we are just one of 28 by voting rights. On that basis the EU is full of "dwarves". It's not exactly helpful language though is it?
Could EU bureaucrat language change peoples resolve here?0 -

You could give the SNP a sack of money and they'd moan it might put their back out carrying it.0 -

Me too. I don't think the 18 month Scottish indy ref prep clarified anything particularly. There was still the mad rush to bribe/clarify/confuse* (*delete as to your personal bias!) in the last few months.0 -

I don't think it's an entirely unfair point, although I accept they will moan about anything and everything. They quite reasonably want to focus on the elections without having to try and campaign on EU membership at the same time. It isn't like the timing of the elections is a surprise, or that it is difficult to have the referendum a little later; the only downside is Cameron is worried about having an extended period of civil war within his own party. I struggle to feel too sorry for him as it is his own actions that created this situation.Having a signature removed for mentioning the removal of a previous signature. Won't there be enough resources campaigning for IN or OUT beyond SNP resources though?
I'm not comfortable with making IN/OUT a divisive issue between Scots and English and Welsh and Northern Irish. It's an issue you vote on for the longer term, potentially beyond current political parties.0 -

4 more months of Clapton's ramblings and inane questions is more than enough, thank you.
so a total refusal to address economic issues0 -
It is to the electoral advance of the SNP to criticise Westminster.
Just as they were hoping for a Tory victory at the GE they will regard a June brexit vote as being of electoral advance to themselves as they can say the Tories are being unfair.
And of course when brexit fails that will not suit their agenda for a new referendum but an overwhealming SNP result in Holyrood will be some compensation.0 -
