No attempt to refute the serious points raised by mayonnaise I see.

For example (related to the last post I responded to):
An issue worth discussing: For example all existing standards are indeed incorporated into British Law. As EU law changes they will have to be changed by us according to the timetable dictated by the EU.

But it's more complex than that because we cant assume that our multitude of bilateral agreements will all follow EU Law. The likelihood is that teach bilateral agreement with a different country will have its own standards, so we are faced with an explosion of different laws.

and my serious points how do the other 170 ish countries manage

and how are the southern european countries, with such fantastic advantages, manage to do so badly?

and how did we manage without being in the euro which was going to make our lives so very complicated

Most of them are considerably poorer than the EU.

I am not an economist nor an international security expert, Research scientist or International Trade expert , i'm knowledgeable in 1 or 2 fields in my life and everything else i form an opinion by Listening to experts,
Now the Brexit side for me have masses of Media coverage from Murdoch/DM/telegraph et al, Brexit has politicians galore but their opinions are not by the experts who deal with the issues,

The remain side have for example
IMF, OECD, G20, OBR, Bank of E Gov, CBI,TUC,NATO,BCC,TUC, NATO,National Farmers Union The Food and Drink Federation, Federation of Small Businesses , Motor Manufacturers association Federation, McCain, Obama,Royal Society of Science, Stephen Hawkins, 36 of the FTSE 100 etc

These organisations is what informs my opinion. Where do Brexit get their information from on any topic? Brexit just replies with "conspiracy theories"

maybe they get their info from the same people that said 'don't join the euro'
what was your view of that?

obviously most business people want a wall of cheap labour to keep wage cost permanently low.
Mark Carney supports the views of his paymaster
Mervyn King (no longer on his paymaster's lead) is considering voting exit.

some people care about democratic accountability and the real cost of immigration : things that business leaders tend not to talk about.

Large international organisations tend to be run by people who like large international organisation : no surprise there, just as you will find the vast majority of EU officials support the principles of the EU (amazing)

And Moody's? Do they have some VI meaning they have not given an honest assessment of the impact?
    I think....

    It's the Clapton way.

The remain side does indeed have a problem. Any suggestion that brexit would impact negatively on the UK is dismissed as scaremongering.
Whenever someone linked to banks, commerce and industry opens their mouth in favour of remain, they are dismissed as elitist and out of touch.
It's an easy way to debate. :)
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

Of course it does. Everything proves your point.

At least the Scots Nats provide a link to something that doesn't matter. Maybe a picture of a kitten or a poll on pot noodles.

    I want kittens dammit.

From The Sun and The Daily Express among stories about Madonna's meltdown over Rocco, Catherine Zeta-Jones' comeback and vouchers for Toby Carvery. :)

I'm not sure a Brexit would fundamentally change things.

I think the UK lacks ambition in the world today, but then so does the EU.

I sat (mostly bored) listening to a teleconf presentation yesterday. The amount of IT and engineering research coming out of so called emerging economies is revealing. We seem to be more concerned about getting hold of cheap plumbers and fruit pickers. I don't think low value jobs are profitable long term, but I guess I would if I was a farmer I suppose.

Sometimes you have to realise the trend. The people I work with can increasingly offshore r&d work if it proves problematic getting staff here. I can't see this trend reversing somehow.
