Budgetery term ends in 2020, but spending of the 2013-2020 budget can extend to 2022 and beyond depending on the project.

    An American view of Brexit:

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/francescoppola/2017/04/30/the-uk-government-is-completely-deluded-about-brexit/#7405274e4f04
The UK’s eventual exit from the EU is looking more and more likely to be a train wreck. The Brexiteers in Prime Minister Theresa May’s administration are living in a fantasy world. And although May herself comes across as sensible and pragmatic, it now appears that she is as deluded as they are.

Last Wednesday, April 25th, May met the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, for dinner in London. Senior members of the British and EU negotiating teams were also present. The dinner was a total disaster. But just how badly it went, at least from the European Commission’s point of view, has only just been revealed.

If you look at the statements by the two sides, they have as much in common as not. That said, I think there is little to no chance of the EU negotiating in good faith. They have too much at stake for that and will want to send a clear message to other countries whose commitment to the project is wavering.

I see no other outcome than a clean Brexit which is after all what leaving means. the government needs to be fully prepared for that and I hope the last nine months has been spent examining that possibility.

It would seem that such is their desperation to paint their own country's politicians as incompetents that some have taken to scouring the internet for any 'commentator' that will affirm their now defunct world view. It's a shame when otherwise intelligent people suspend their critical reasoning to suit their own bias.
I was struck by the image the other day of a miffed Juncker and his entourage leaving no10 and in the background a relaxed confident May was seen laughing and joking with others.
I think it's dawning on the EU big players that the UK State is slowly moving on, politically and perhaps more crucially emotionally. In a few short months Juncker and the rest of his unelected entourage will mean nothing to us.
    Amen to that.

No it'ds not. It's an article from the anti Brexit anti May Frances Coppola. Go Google, go figure.

This is her Bio from the Forbes site.
    Frances Coppola
I write about banking, finance and economics. FULL BIO
I used to work for banks. Now I write about them, and about finance and economics generally. Although I originally trained as a musician and singer, I worked in banking for 17 years and did an MBA at Cass Business School in London, where I specialized in financial risk management. I’m the author of the Coppola Comment finance & economics blog, which is a regular feature on the Financial Times's Alphaville blog and has been quoted in The Economist, the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The Guardian. I am also a frequent commentator on financial matters for the BBC. And I still sing, and teach. After all, there is more to life than finance.

How do you know she is anti Brexit and Anti May.
Perhaps you could link to something. Yes she claims her field of expertise is Economics. You are suggesting because she is an "expert" we should ignore what she comments on?
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

There are a large number of leaks from the EU side about how badly the Wednesday meeting/dinner went between May and Junker.
Very little is coming out of Downing Street.
    Perhaps I have missed it.
    Any links please. Thank you.

These I have but they are not necessarily main stream.

    Juncker meeting with May;

Juncker: You need to pay us £60Bn, give whatever rights we deem fit to EU citizens, agree to be bound by all ECJ rulings, agree not to deregulate financial rules, no cutting Corp. tax and these other 23 demands. Then we'll start talking about trade deals.

May: Could you give some indication as to what potential trade deals we might expect?

Juncker: What?? Before you sign up to agree everything else first? You're living in a complete fantasy world woman.
If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.
