Perm one country on mainland Europe from about ten!

That's clever and and informative. Don't tell us more.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

You're obviously ignorant of the burgeoning collection of bona fide fascists the people of mainland Europe are now voting for.
A vote for Brexit distances ourselves from mainland Europe`s growing penchant for far right politics.

If you are going to make claims of this nature you need to back it up with facts and figures. Otherwise it will be dismissed as utter rubbish.

the number of jobs in an economy is not fixed yes but growing economies will have more jobs than stagnant or declining economies of the same size for obvious reasons.

there is also the simple fact that businesses are more efficient in growing nations because to mal-invest is harder while declining economies will need to make investments that they know will have a much more finite life

Take for instance ten car factories. In a growing economy all 10 will be busy and a 11th one can be built when the demand is more than the 10 can cope with. Compare that to falling economy. 10 car factories and one will have to close or all of the 10 will have to reduce output and productivity. Which car industry do you think you would like to work in the declining one or the growing one? one where they are firing 1,000 workers a year or one where they are hiring 1,000 workers a year?

You have drifted a long, long way from discussing Brexit. However when it comes to car factories the company's choose the locations n of a factory subject to Demand. Access to markets, cost of labour, stability and tax incentives. Now that might have some bearing on a EU debate.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

with regards to the balance of trade it balances out with a free floating currency. with regards to essentials aka food is what you are thinking of we produce a lot of food and can produce more its just cheaper to import it. also we have a fleet of trident nuclear weapons and one of the top 5 armies in the world who do you think is going to put a sea freight embargo and no fly zone onto the uk? seriously? drop the stupid arguments as it will put off people listening to your more reasonable points

Interesting that you consider the balance of trade as un-important with a freely floating currency.
So your nonsense argument about Pakistan can simply be resolved by floating the currency.
Which is handy as Pakistan does have their own currency, so by your nonsensical argument, it can buy all the foreign goods it likes and everything gets sorted by the free float.
Or doesn't your logic work with any situation other than the EU?

the UK produces about 60% of our food : this proportion declines as the population grows
equally our imports of gas/coal/fuel etc will increase both in absolute terms and relative as the population grows

only a moron would suggest that the problem is one of war although one day it might be.

Real people, including yourself, are in fact very concerned about their level of pay and their housing situation and the general environment around them. Although its very depressing to observe but some people find them so important, they uproot themselves and travel many thousands of miles to find a better overall life.

But I agree, I am constantly disappointed that no-one wants to discuss the consequences of the EU tariff barriers and the harm they have done for the last 60 years or the balance of trade or the employment situation in Southern European countries or the failure to close down the Euro or the consequence of over regulations or the lack of democracy in the EU etc etc.

But there is only so much one can do.

I for one have decided not to debate anything with you as you do not listen (or read) what the other person says.

Clapton will come along any minute now and explain why the north east is a great example to follow and their people are healthier wealthier and their tube system is never overcrowded

Honestly. Why doesn't she go and live there? Along with her kids who clearly can't afford to live in London either?

No - instead she'd rather trash the economy to take it back to the the 50s.

    Go figure?

Some forecasters, such as Wolfson Prize-winning, Roger Bootle of Capital Economics, expect the pound to shed 15% of its value in the event of a Brexit, whilst HSBC’s head of FX Strategy David Bloom forecasts the pound to lose even more - between 15 and 20%.

And elsewhere Morgan Stanley analysts say weakness in U.K. services purchasing managers index readings indicates “Brexit” worries and volatility are going to take a toll on the economy.

Well, last time we weren't in the EU the £ was worth about $2.40.

So, the EU has managed to almost half the £'s value.
