It seems that the EU (Non-British) citizens currently living in this country will have more rights than the indigenous population i.e. they can live and work here but travel freely throughout the EU with their National passport. Mmmm I should imagine that will be a tricky one to sell.
British citizens have chosen to give up some of their rights on June 23rd.
EU citizens (who were not given a vote in the referendum) have not.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -

it ony makes sense for some-one like you who wishing the people of the UK harm :
others will see that if the EU imposes restrictions on the people of the UK then that will be an EU decision.0 -

Hadn't thought of this! All sorts of inconsistencies are going to emerge in the coming years:(
Darn, everything is so perfect now, with no EU issues or challenges ahead, if only we'd remained
It's a wonder I've met Americans living perfectly happily in France, how can this be, they're not EU citizens, how did they ever manage to live in France!!0 -

What are you talking about?
EU citizen's here will (according to the comedy whitepaper), be granted indefinite leave to remain (something akin to) - if the UK is insisting that British migrants in Europe are offered the same right. They will, therefore, be entitled to remain in the place that many have set up their homes.
They will, however, still be EU citizens and be entitled to the benefits that come with that.
That's not "the EU imposing its will" or "harming the British people" in the slightest. It's a pragmatic compromise - something that's usually quite important in negotiation.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. isn't that true for any and all legal immigrants here : they have the right to travel in the UK and their own homeland whereas UK nationals don't have the reciprol rights of travel .0 -

Does this mean that there'll be Duty Free when we go on holiday to European countries? Awesome.0

Conrad ....I for one really liked going through the EU citizen barrier at passport control without the hassle of queues other nationals faced. Not looking forward to being relegated to the foreign nationals queue!
When I went to Turkey, Singapore and the rest, the 15 minute queue was oh so awful. You are right, we should carry on giving away sovergnty, paying £25 million daily club fee, unable to make our own trade deals and suffer all the effect of mass immigration crushing lower paid workers incomes, so you can get through the airport slightly quicker, that's what I call social justice
In any event I suspect an accommodation will be made on this front0 -
