Although would filling out a mountain of customs forms be before or after I've declared myself as being foreign and named and shamed myself, despite holding a British passport?
it seems that the people of most of the 196 countries in the world trade with the EU
why do you think you will be uniquely disadvantaged?0 -
I haven't been keeping on top of this thread so I may have missed some of the developments Conrad et al predicted.
Has Europe started begging us for a trade deal yet?
Have all the immigrants gone?
Is the government doing a great job, with the full backing of the entire country?0 -

No, no and no. Strange that.......
The government have lost their key ally in Richmond Park though.....22000 majority wiped out I believe, so something good has finally happened💙💛 💔0 -
Where did he say he was uniquely disadvantaged? Can you try arguing against the points made rather than strawmen?
I believe that 99.99% of people trading with the EU wouldn't feel they were being named and shamed so its reasonable to conclude he feels he is reasonably uniqueAlthough would filling out a mountain of customs forms be before or after I've declared myself as being foreign and named and shamed myself, despite holding a British passport?0 -

That's impossible for some on this forum sadly.
The other issue that struck me (when watching a Polish advert last night, won't post as it contains swearing in English, but it is common on my Facebook feed) is what will happen with families where part is abroad, part is in UK? Are you proposing that EU nationals should be allowed to visit their family in the UK without visa, or are you suggesting that we make it impossible for hard working families, living in the UK long term to see grandparents of their children in the UK?
This goes for visits generally, not just in this case.💙💛 💔0 -

Just a continuance of the 'phoney war' toastie.
UK economy set to be the fastest growing in the G7.
Despite our inherant racism and xenophobia (?) more Eastern Europeans are flocking to the UK, probably as an alternative to places like Austria where fascists have just polled 45% of the vote in a national election. Go figure!
Despite the Brexit challenges our democracy is in rude health with MP`s in parliament and private citizens through the courts holding the executive to account.
I love this country.:)“Britain- A friend to all, beholden to none”. 🇬🇧0 -

I wasn't referring to trading with the EU, I was referring to the naming and shaming in response to a comment made on MSE the other week when the foreign worker proposal were being aired by Amber Rudd.
My business situation is reasonably unique, however that is not going to be something I'm willing to discuss in further detail on a public forum for privacy reasons at this time.💙💛 💔0 -

The naming and shaming was that Amber Rudd suggestion that companies who hire foreigners be named and shamed. I'm sure you knew that though.
So you're conflating different things here. He's saying that as he hires foreigners, who move between UK/EU, he'd need to register for the shame list. AND THEN he's got all of the additional hassles that come with no FoM or customs union; namely restrictions in travel and loads of extra paperwork.0 -

I love this country.:)
