If we vote for Brexit what happens

Not only a shock to shares but a boost to the value of Sterling against the Euro which would be BAD NEWS given that many Brexiteers viewed the lower value of the pound as a POSIIVE.Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0

In a word - bull pooh!
Kindly cease these silly and unfounded suggestions.
Not only do they have no grounding in fact, but you are being about as subtle as a brick to the back of the head.
Stick instead to your new thread - rely on the responses from the likes of Hamish whose previous forecasts have been so accurate (not).
Also, how do you get that "posters are focusing their thoughts over the Channel"?
As (still) members of the EU it is quite natural that these matters are discussed as they STILL effect the UK.
Indeed will continue to affect the UK even after we have left the EU.
If you care to look through past threads you will see that EU matters have been discussed since the inception of these forums AND very often in a critical tone.
Suggesting otherwise is disingenuous.
I am only responding to the news and posters comments.
I am not making up the present issues that may delay Britain leaving or phrases like "avoiding a cliff edge"
The road blocks delaying or extending Britains membership is not a figment of my imagination. This is a change in tack as I had thought Britain would leave and that would be the matter closed. Even you can not ignore what is going on. These "silly and unfounded suggestions" are not coming from me but are on every news site every day in some form or other. Calling it Bull pooh is quite interesting, me thinks you protest too much! Perhaps you are feeling impatient with the process because I am.
While looking across the Channel is always interesting and the coming elections could be a game changer I was referring to continued nit picking about the EU. My suspicion was/is that some (of course not you) are worried that some people have forgotten why they voted to leave and need reminding in case of a 2nd referendum or a General Election fought on the platform of in or out. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Business investment helps UK growth stay firm after Brexit vote
British companies' investment continued to grow after the EU referendum, while solid trade performance also bolstered GDP.
The second estimate of third quarter GDP found that business investment expanded at a better-than-expected 0.9%.
There was also a robust performance for trade, with exports buoyed by a weak pound, making goods cheaper for foreign buyers and imports more expensive for UK firms.
Trade made its biggest contribution to UK quarterly growth since the start of 2014.

It's is a shame and a lost opportunity that British politicians have not taken the same positive view of change during Britains 40 years of membership.
Of course Fillon is a politician and if elected he may forget or dilute his election promises. As you must be aware his job is to get elected and his appeal to Catholics and Euro sceptics is to fight off the FN.There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

I understand they will if the run off is between Fillon and the FN
It's all very fascinating. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Woman walks into downing street. Journo has long lens camera.
Notes on meeting here:
Transcribed as:Won’t provide more detail. We think… be offered single market. Our criteria are clear – more open the better. So has someone in Downing Street revealed to Mark Field there won’t be a transitional arrangement?
Manufacturing relatively straightforward
Services harder – because French hoping for business.
biggest interest is internal market
ECJ & control of borders won’t fit.
Transitional – loathe to do it. Whitehall will hold onto it. We need to bring an end to the negotiation.
Headlines won’t change from now until March though
Why no Norway – TWO elements – no ECJ intervention… beyond our trade with Europe. Unlikely to do internal market
Trade with EU through DexU not DIT.
What is the model? Have cake & eat it.
Very French negotiating team.
Need fair process guaranteed…
Canada Plus – more on services
Europe gets a good deal
BEA model not good

I agree on no transitional arrangement as it would only extend the whole excercise and also give Remainers a toe hold back in.
The Telegraph's take on it is that we won't be offered single market. I'm very happy with that.
