sadly you are total denial about the issues being discussed which is about how PC attitutes contributed to the child abuse issues in Rotherham, Oxford, Alyesbury, Bristol etc....
instead you try to suggest that confronting such problems is somehow related to returning to Victorian Britain along with racist views : this is EXACTLY the attitude that allowed these abuses to continue for so long.0 -
No Clapton I was referring to your general view of the world...
if you have examples of what you consider my general view of the world, then do feel free to say so : I don't suffer any concerns about your PC reluctance to confront unacceptable attitudes : just speak out, don't collude with the PC brigade
I'm not in denial because I actually work with victims of abuse......... but enlighten me how are you confronting these organised child abuse rings....I'm always willing to learn............
It is beyond belief (well not really) that you consider working with victims of abuse has any connection with organisational, systemic, institutional PC attitudes that failed the children of Rotherham, Aylesbury, Oxford, Bristol etc etc.
Many of the people in the organisation concerned, did indeed themselves work with abused people which makes their institutional attitudes even more reprehensible.
Sadly your pompous, self serving, arrogant, self righteous justification shows you completely miss the point.
I am not a policeman, social worker, local politician, school teacher, sport coach etc and donot routinely come into contact with people liable to abuse. However if such a situation arose, I hope I would ignore race, religion, class, sexual orientation etc in determining the correct course of action.0 -

I actually think you are probably racist tbh.... :-D
It's not an 'English' thing either....Wales has them also....can I call them little Welshers or perhaps 'little Walesanders'?0 -
You can't be racist against a dominant group in society you plonker. I think you meant I was 'prejudiced'. You see... racism is systemic prejudice with the added power to put prejudical views into practice because you are part of a dominant culture........ e.g in the UK white people can be racist but a black person can't because the black person is part of a minority group and doesn't have the power to enforce the discriminate distribution of resources. A black person can be prejudicial or bigoted though e.g Diane Abott.

Do you want a chance to retract that? If you delete yours I'll do you the courtesy of deleting the quote.
In fact, your post is terrible. Truly truly terrible.
Racism is a form of discrimination based on ethnicity, which implies that ones own race is somehow superior.
So when someone who is hetrosexual, male and white is offended by discriminatory comments made towards them by a different ethnic group denigrating them based on their ethnicity, it's not racism?
It has NOTHING to do with dominant culture, NOTHING!
I thought (in the Corbyn thread) we were merely trying to get across to you that a more egalitarian and free speech approach to the ills of society was better than political correctness. But you actually appear to believe this politically correct tripe if you think racism only affect minority groups.
That Diane Abbott is not racist when she says white's love to divide and rule, she's bigoted. As if bigotry is somehow lower on the social justice pyramid than racism.
Who taught you this absolute crap? The civil service? Education? Who is to blame?0 -

The link isn't about Sharia Law; it's an Israeli's view of the EU.
(Though Jock could have made clearer what the link actually is.)
Looks very much like you could do with it TBH.
An excerpt from the first para. as a taster:

Looks to me that the link should not have been opened.
Why would anyone take note of Comments by Israel about the EU.
This is all about Britain leaving the EU. We are not debating staying.
Or are we!There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -
Austerity you say. Had a client enquiry from a new migrant, not only on housing benefit and tax credits but they also get £1000 p month as thier son has autism, this is the sort of thing I see daily.
2 recent cases in the paper of huge payouts from the NHS, one was £20 million
£25 million per day on foreign aid
Endless enquiries, and people on my radio constantly calling for more. Billions spent on these annually
Hearing callers to LBC saying they are a aware of vast abuse around mobility motors.
Yup, reall tough austerity init
So all that will end when Britain leaves the EU!
It is a shame you have not directed all your efforts to telling everyone that British politicians have caused more problems than those you say have been caused by membership of the EUThere will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0 -

You only talk about the abuse rings above because the failure in these cases fits in with how you see the world i.e these examples provide you with an excuse for your hate. The issue is much wider than that however.....there are many victims of many different forms of institutional failure! Many of the people in the organisation concerned, did indeed themselves work with abused people which makes their institutional attitudes even more reprehensible.Sadly your pompous, self serving, arrogant, self righteous justification shows you completely miss the point.I am not a policeman, social worker, local politician, school teacher, sport coach etc and donot routinely come into contact with people liable to abuse. However if such a situation arose, I hope I would ignore race, religion, class, sexual orientation etc in determining the correct course of action0 -
