Gasp! Someone needs to notify clapton that this visa free travel doesn't extend to African nations.

I understand your pleasure that some-one is discriminating against african citizens although I have to say I don't share with you.

The EU has blocked a rescue package on the Belfast to Newark flight, so it will be axed on 9th Jan

The sooner Brexit happens the better!

United have made a commercial decision not to continue serving an unprofitable route.

Transatlantic air routes aren't a given, they're a luxury, and either prices need to be raised, new aircraft need to be sought (the A319 and 737-700 are probably a better size, both have the range and United have both) or the route needs to be stopped.

NI already benefits from subsidies on Long Haul flights in the form of being exempt from Air Passenger Duty, so why should it benefit from additional funding?

Left wing press has spent decades telling those on the right or with concerns about mass immigration that they are nasty, loons, like kicking the disabled, xenophobic, thick, lemmings etc etc
Sometimes it's true though.....I mean look at some of the types in UKIP!

I'm on The Guardian and Independent daily, full of nasty people, akin to all those we hear of on the left sending nasty threatening texts to 'Blairites', Jews, Women etc, and spitting on Tory delegates. Lefties have long portrayed their Saintly credentials, but it's turned out to be a charade, no wonder you lot pretend to want redistribution but cling to every penny you can, charlatans. I prefer the honesty of a right wing person that does not disguise their money hoarding under sickly compassion narratives
Again evidence please of left wing press justifying the above! The Guardian in case you hadn't noticed was very active during the summer in calling out Momentum bullies etc. Jonathan Friedland, (Guardian Journalist) is a Jewish commentator doing exactly the same in the pages of yes.... the Guardian!

No wonder lefties celebrate stealing vital skilled Doctors and nurses from the vulnerable developing world. Greed all the way
I have no idea what you are talking about mate. Are you saying that doctors and nurses have been poached from the developing world through 'leftie' actions and then the lefties hold parties to celebrate their nefarious activities?:rotfl:

I think it's a straight choice between forcing a vote asap or playing a *very* long game and lining up all the trade strategies and details while the EU and businesses get more and more frustrated.

I think that's what is going on here - the *very* long game - remember Gove wanted 2 years before article 50 was triggered - when The Remainers said it takes years to get trade agreements in place - they weren't exaggerating.

I don't see an issue on that, this is a massive decision, we are a parliamentary democracy and the current PM has very little personal mandate given she wasn't in charge at the last election when the Tories won a narrow majority.

Neither was the leader of the opposition. So what are you suggesting?

The 28% that didn't vote gave up the responsibility to those who did.

Effectively they gave their vote to the winners -so the Leavers have 65% of the vote.

White House says EU, Britain must ensure flexible 'Brexit' process
Nov 3 The White House on Thursday urged Britain and the European Union to ensure a flexible and smooth "Brexit" process after a British court ruled the government needed parliamentary approval to start the process of Britain leaving the EU.
"We are aware of the decision by the United Kingdom's High Court. We are and will continue to work closely with officials in London, Brussels, and our international partners around the world to ensure continued economic stability, security and prosperity in Europe and beyond," White House spokesman Eric Schultz told reporters on Air Force One.
"We urge both the United Kingdom and the European Union in their negotiations ... to continue to be flexible, and work this out in a process that is smooth, pragmatic, transparent and productive," he said.
Schultz said President Barack Obama's administration would continue to actively monitor financial and economic developments and consult with international counterparts "to support financial stability and growth."

"We are fed up of the so-called elite not listening to us and we suffer."

Aww... sorry you have a stable country, health care and freedom but no Mercedes.

Whereas companies taking flight or being paid off, less jobs, increased costs of everything we import, greater of costs of things we make that rely on imports, inflation, social depression and division between country men, loss of freedom of movement in Europe, greater risk of international conflict, being seen as stubborn, idiotic, nationalist elitists by other countries, loss of world respect, seen as a nation willing to commit economic suicide, expensive holidays, worse social care, worse health care, likely loss of workers rights are all something are supposed to view as the sunny uplands.

I cannot take this lot seriously at any level at all. Let's hope Brexit is off once and for all.

Sorry I don't see a single benefit from any of this and not one of you on this thread has even a remotely respectable argument to change my mind. Not one.

Whatever happens this country is going to be a divided nation to the very core.
