If we vote for Brexit what happens

Didn't retail sales go up ahead of the VAT hike as well, with people bringing forward purchases to avoid the price hike?
I, certainly, bought a few foreign sources items...
Definitely. Just bought 4 Pirelli P7's. Current tyres could probably last through winter, but I'd rather not spend 20-30% more in a couple of months. :money:Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -
We could infer that the 48% who didn't vote to leave were in favour of remaining in the single market, so I would suggest that more people would support the EEA option than the fanciful ideas of that those who want a hard Brexit.
The pro Brexiteers have got their way, we leave whatever damage it inflicts on the UK. I genuinely feel sorry for those who are about to suffer the consequences and I hope that common sense prevails rather than intransigence (or Davis/Fox or Junker).
All politicians on both sides of the debate said we were leaving the single market.0 -

I'd like to chime in on this.
I voted leave, but I don't believe this for a second.
If a politician had said the moon was made of cheese, or that the earth is flat, during the campaigns it doesn't make it so.
That's not what was on the ballot paper.
There needs to be some recognition that the leave vote was a (I hate this phrase..) broad church of opinion. I align very much with Daniel Hannan's view, that EEA/EFTA would be perfectly acceptable so long as we were in control of our trade arrangements, not subject to the whims of another 27 member states, or even regions within them.0 -
You ignored the fact the entire establishment, Government, TV media, all three main parties, Govt organs and the rest threw massive uncalled for weapons grade terror and lies at us, almost no facts and no reason, so yes you're right we would demand another referendum had the corrupting establishment won out.

You've hit nail on head, no Government in Europe is going to vote to hamper it's own trade and damage itself, that's why UK-EU trade will carry on and there will be no damage. The transition will be unnoticeable in terms of trade.0 -
And you call remainers undemocratic??? :rotfl:
68.8% of areas came out for Leave on the biggest ever turn-out and in spite of the overwhelming advantage the establishment had with Government and all 3 main parties gunning for remain.
Any re-run and all that nonsense terror campaign would no longer be viable, people wont fall for it twice, and so the leave vote would be considerably bigger, based on winning back autonomy, sovereignty and our own ability to make our own decisions.
For example next time no one would believe The Treasury numbers (2 Select Committees completely condemned the numbers out of hand - and summed up that they were based on erroneous input assumptions 'to suit the political agenda of the day')0 -
Brexit has damaged economists, not the economy
