The EU doesn't have trade deals with the USA, China, Japan, Russia, Canada, India, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand and other advanced economies.

It does have agreements with the Faroe Islands, the Comoro Islands, Akrotiri and Dhekelia (where?) and a few other minor players.

I don't hold out much hope that there will be any agreement with the UK.

Well there doesn't seem to be any shortage of goods from those countries in the EU does there? So, so what? Lets say they whack a 10% tariff on the UK. Our currency has devalued by 20%+ so we are still better off in terms of tariffs, and we can add a 2000% tariff on anything from Wallonia, or maybe all of Belgium. Goodbye to disgusting wheat beer. Couldn't happen a moment too soon.

And when the German, French, Spanish and Italian car manufacturers see their profits and jobs disappearing they may be having more than a stern word with Wallonia as well. Is there an Article 51 that involves ejecting a member?

Cool. I'll be looking out for British Syrah, British oranges and British almonds next time I pop into Tescos.

How about Argentinian Malbec, Florida Oranges and Australian Almonds? Cheaper than the artificially-price-held-high EU produced varieties.

This would be like your negotiation parameters being given to a house seller in advance of your offer.

Do you expect Brussels to be publishing their negotiating strategy together with all their parameters and the pro's and cons therein?

Parliament won't get to vote about what's on the government's wish list. It will be a vote on the deal after a deal has been reached.

Not that I'm too worried about anyone finding out the big secret about what the UK/ EU hope to achieve. At some point both sides will have to tell each other what they want anyway.

Why are you so angry and impolite.
I see no anger or impoliteness from the poster, especially in comparison to your own posts.
I see only a response to your generally propagandous and often bigoted style of posting; you really can't post in such a style and not expect such response?

The poster's response seems quite appropriate and questions YOUR post.
Which I note you failed to answer, the poster's question being how you think you know more about Nissan regarding their forthcoming decision than anyone else?

Was discussed not so long ago. Unless there's a change in the key players. I'd expect much of the same from within the EU. Just because the UK has decided to exit doesn't change the current direction of travel of the EU and it's ultimate goals. As a single nation outside I'd expect short shrift and no favours. Let's hope it doesn't back fire on them.

Are your posts deliberately intended as "wind-ups"?
    Or are you trolling?
Because coming from one who continually posts anti-Brexit propaganda together with the "bad-mouthing" of a large portion of the UK that chose to leave the EU is a more likely reason for your posts to be derided, is it not?

It seems that a certain (ex?) Briton doesn't like opinions being debated by Britons that choose to live in Britain.
THAT has nothing to do with your (frankly) bigoted opinion, directed towards posters in THIS THREAD that "SOME Britains don't like foreigners or ANYTHING foreign!"
A shameful comment as usual from this poster, who (it should be remembered) has posted regarding our country:
Yes, a poster that dislikes the UK so much.

I suspect then that the "feeling" gfplux is REALLY seeing is patriotism, something this poster sadly appears to lack.

Wow, you are soooo angry when you should be soooo happy.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

Why do I get the feeling that in reality you do miss your homeland. Even though you say you will never return.

You know little about us Scots, it seems.
    Angry?
    That's not even mild irritation.
    ;)

Now, would you care to explain just why you think I should be "soooo happy"?

Ireland should become part of the UK, Brothers in arms. The EU is investigating Irish corporation tax deals, another sign the EU cannot help but interfere and intrude into sovereign decisions
There is a very clear agreement between all EU member states that they will not indulge in state aid - i.e. states will not use public funds to subsidise their own domestic industries to protect them from overseas competition. And that is exactly what Ireland is doing by giving particular companies special sweetheart tax deals.

That all seems perfectly reasonable to me. Ireland agreed to that when they joined the EU, its there in black and white in the EC treaty they signed up to. Signing up to a perfectly reasonable agreement is not a "loss of sovereignty" anymore than you lost your sovereignty by having an employment contract or a mortgage contract.

Exactly the same principle that we have relied on for years to stop other EU member states from using the power of their government to subsidise domestic industries so that they are immune from competition from UK exporters. Good examples would be stopping the German government from subsidising airports so as to encourage flights to go through Germany rather than the UK.

You either believe in private companies competing through the market or you believe in crony capitalism, quite frankly.
