Employment up 106,000 over the past three months, unemployment up 10,000.

The current BBC article on it is quite interesting.
The UK jobless rate held steady at a near 11-year low of 4.9%, in the three months to August, figures show.
Unemployment edged up by a modest 10,000 to 1.66 million, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.
"These figures show that employment continued to grow over the summer and vacancies remain at high levels, suggesting continuing confidence in the economy," the ONS said.
Average weekly earnings grew by 2.3%, a slight fall from the previous month.
This breaking news story is being updated and more details will be published shortly. Please refresh the page for the fullest version.

The ONS quote makes no sense, because they've only quoted the tiny rise in unemployment and said nothing about the increase of 106,000. Can't think why!

This report from Sky puts it much better than I have done.

Ultimately, it depends on the three judges.

It seems likely either way that an appeal will go to the Supreme Court to be heard by a full panel of Britain's top judges.

At this point, the Government might have to decide to change the terms of its argument, to perhaps say that Article 50 is reversible, so no rights are lost.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

If you think Britain is divided and lurching to the right now, just see what happens if the establishment Men in wigs and stockings find ways to keep us effectively in the EU

Remember the entire establishment, heads of Government, IMF, ONS, Big banks, The Church, NGO's, most of the TV media, BOE, Treasure and PM backed by Government tried to bulldoze us into remain.

This really is a ground up peoples revolt, and the leave vote would have been stronger in the event the entire establishment
    had not ganged up.

The 'vulnerable Calais children' is damning indictment of the naïve, lofty hopeless liberal establishment and their beloved experts.

Watch how those children are found to be Men but wont be deported, in spite of British soldiers spilling blood to make Afghanistan a better place to live.

Remember right now British kids suffer due to lack of spaces in the care system and elsewhere. Where are Rowan Williams and Lilly Allen's virtue signalling performances for British kids longing for a decent adoption?

I dread to think if some of these hairy blokes end up in the care system (some will in spite of supposed relatives here) having access to vulnerable real children in care

An afghan interpreter in London called LBC to say how angry she gets when exposed to many similar cases of fake children going back years. A Nigerian woman called in to say this is a familiar ruse for Nigerians wanting to get into the UK and then of course demand other relative can come later.

Will that be worse than the division and lurch to the right when people realize that none of their problems were solved with a hard Brexit?

To be fair, it's going to end in disaster either way.

You must have such a low opinion of the British people, that a minor, yes minor, terms of trade change will scupper us.

How the heck do all those non EU prospering nations cope all on their own eh, lol, I must be imagining all these non EU products and services I use

I said nothing about trade. I'm much more worried about freedom of movement.

A large proportion of the population seem to think that stopping free trade will suddenly make everything better - better NHS, cheaper homes, higher wages. But when either (a) we don't get rid of free movement or (b) we do, but it doesn't solve anything, lots of people are going to be unhappy.

Add that to the economic hit and the Tories overreach, and it's going to be total mess.

As far as I understand it, these 14* boys were all re-united with family already in the UK.

*Yes, we only took 14 of them. Germany has offered to take 1 million, and our running total is under 50.

We've had many millions of immigrant the last 40 years, a good many claiming asylum. Germany has a long way to go before it gets as many Luton's and Birmingham's as us. Germany shows a better propensity to returning spongers and fake refugees. Far harder to claim a mass of benefits there. No free world health system there for the worlds cheats to abuse.

The British always step up to the plate when it comes to big emergency charity appeals and we give nearly 1% of our entire GDP to foreign aid

The liberal establishment has warped what fairness means
