Something for those on the leftWorkers' rights at risk over Brexit, TUC warns
Workers' rights, including paid annual leave, time off for antenatal appointments and fair treatment for part-timers, would be at risk if the UK votes to leave the European Union, it has been warned.

Funny/interesting piece on BBC this morning. They are taking 10 basic items and examining the EU effect on them. Earlier today it was the British sausage. Worth listening to whatever your present opinion.
One interesting point was that the UK has much more onerous rules on rearing to packaging which make our bangers more expensive than those produced almost everywhere else in the EU. Apparently our Ministers have spent years trying and failing to get these "regulations" EU wide.
You make of that what you will, but not all bendy bananas rules come from them foreigners, we have played our part.

Look, all this economics talk is interesting but let's get to the matter that really counts to Brits. Who will build their loft extensions if all the Eastern Europeans are kicked out? So, we'll vote to remain, dead cert.Britain needs brickies: Shortage of labour could thwart UK housing boom, says Barratt boss

Is that the same IMF that warned UK austerity would plunge us into negative growth? 18 months before we became the fastest growing economy in the EU.If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.0 -

increditable how every 'interesting' bit of news you find is pro stay?
is there nothing 'interesting ' that is brexit?
anyway please explain why you are in favour of lower animal welfare standards?
do you find it funny to treat animal badly?
the bendy bananas rules did a lot of damage to developing countries (mainly non white so less important), wasted masses of food in a world with hunger and increase global warming. : hugely funny.0 -
The point I am trying to make and it's something I am deeply interested in, is what will happen when/if Brexit to our Immigration rules. You and I are entitled to our opinion but what I want is someone like Boris to explain what rules (if any) he would put in place after Brexit. Frankly I consider his spoken opinion about immigration MORE important than yours or mine.
The important point is that after brexit we can set our own immigration rules: if we stay we can't.
With brexit if we want to change them we can that's the difference.
Boris' view is no more important than anyone elses as he is not in power.0 -

The difference will be where the camps will form.
there is no reason to believe that there will be more refugees arriving in the uK with a brexit : there are 600,000 reasons to believe that less immigrants will arrive.0
