Just sent UKPC the following letter:Dear UKPC,
Thank you for your recent correspondence in relation to the above cancelled Parking Charge.
You have now cancelled my Parking ticket due to your member of staff wrongly issuing said ticket.
As this was a mistake by one of your members of staff, I am Issuing you with an invoice for my expenses. I will now outline my expenses
TRAVEL: 15 miles travel at 40p/mile. =£6
ADMIN: £10 Administration =£10
TIME AND STRESS =£10
This invoice totals £26.00 but if payment is paid within 14 days of the date of this letter then the total will be dropped to a total of just £15.00 for full and final payment. [FONT="]Payment can be made via PAYPAL at the same email address given.[/FONT]
Further correspondence can be sent to my email address above. Please can you ensure that your parking charge cancellation reference details are attached when sending further correspondence.
The invoice Charge has been put on the reduced rate for a 14 day period and may be settled in full at the reduced rate of £15.00.
PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE THIS LETTER. I REGULARLY TAKE PPC’s TO COURT WHO IGNORE THEIR INVOICE CHARGES. PLEASE EMAIL FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.

Do you take people to court? Even more pertinent, do you win?
My understanding of contract law is that your invoice, whilst npo doubt reasonable, would be unlikely to be upheld by a judge because the T&C had not previously been agreed.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
