Well it has to be said that i was surprised today when i opened up my emails and had recieved one from UKPC...
I guess complaining to the manager at the located store really does work!
The Letter reads as follows:Thank you for your recent correspondence in relation to the above Parking Charge. We understand your frustration and appreciate the inconvenience this has caused you. It is not our intention to cause undue worry and frustration when enforcing our clients parking regulations.
We have investigated the appeal based on the information submitted by yourself and can confirm in this instance that the Parking Charge has been cancelled.
We strive to deliver a high quality service that enhances the existing quality standards insisted upon by our client and ensure our Wardens are stringently trained to meet these expected standards.
On behalf of ourselves and our client we apologise for any inconvenience.
Yours faithfully,
Appeals Department UK Parking Control Limited
It was such a shock that i actually pushed the laptop off of my lap and it fell to the floor!
It is also clear to me that they sucessfully requested my information from the DVLA as they had all my information, this however was done before the time that they are 'allowed' to do so! pfft.. stupid DVLA!LJamesP

Well done, pleased for you.
To everyone reading this, this is proof that by complaining to the retailer the chances are very high that it will be cancelled
IMPORTANT PLEASE
Can you please say why you think that UKPC got your information
before the time they are allowed to0 -

Not enough time has passed for (still 3-4 days left) UKPC to attain my details from the DVLA.
Hope this answers your question.LJamesP

Beamer;
I believe this to be the case because in the email they stared with my First and Last name. My email address does not contain this information. The retailer in question was only given my name as 'LJ' and i never disclosed any information to UKPC either.

Thanks, to be honest I am not certain how long they have to wait, someone here will tell us shortly0 -
If it's a windscreen ticket not until day after 28 and no later than day 56. If it was an actual ticket, as opposed to some guy with a camera only (that's up to 14 days only for gaining data), then request should only be made in that timeframe.
If the date of your NtK doesn't fit with either of those timeframes then you need to write to the DVLA and ask them when and by whom your data was accessed. If UKPC have fouled up, you can drive a big nail in their coffin.

I shall do my enquiries and will respond in due course regarding the information gathered.

Thanks for heads up on the YouTube vid. I'd not seen it before, but had seen the report of the event on one of the forums a little while back.
The voice over sounds like a computer word reading programme - a bit staccato.
Once again, UKPC take no responsibility for the issue, and again blame an individual member of staff.
Speaks volumes about their recruitment and training procedures.
