Mr Troy telling untruths in official statements to the media?
I must say, that's particularly out of character for him.

Before you look at this video, please take note that the BBC have added the following:
"PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE ADVICE HAS CHANGED IN ENGLAND OR WALES SINCE THIS WATCHDOG VIDEO, YOU NEED TO TAKE FURTHER ADVICE FROM MSE FORUMS OR PEPIPOO.COM"
This is a BBC Watchdog video regarding Private Parking Companies
and in particular what this thread is all about ..... UKPC

THE INTERVIEW WITH THE DVLA (David Evans) and BPA (Patrick Troy
David Evans states the DVLA only releases information under very strict controls and when it's lawful to do so ?
In view of what is currently happening, one must assume that the DVLA considers scammers and those who practice fraud .. as lawful
Patrick Troy of the BPA answers the question "you are not policing this are you" .... his answer .. "oh yes we absolutely are"
Again, we must assume that Mr Troy's interpretation of policing means he is happy that BPA members can scam and practice fraud.
The retrieval of our personal data from the DVLA must be confined to authorities only and not scammers, which is happening at the moment0 -
How about we start advising people to ignore UKPC from now on.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

I disagree. I think we should continue to hammer nails in UKPC's coffin by getting victims to win as many appeals at PoPLA as possible and keep complaining to landowners and the powers that be. By highlighting the disgraceful conduct of one company it may help to focus attention on the whole scamdustry.I married my cousin. Deep, that crossed my mind as well, however, just ignoring them will mean they carry on regardless.
What is needed is a standard letter to be sent on receipt of the parking ticket, the reason they are to be ignored
I like the "salmosalaris" letters, scary for a PPC.
How about it salmosalaris, can you do something here0 -

Hi Fruitcake, I don't think UKPS will be around much longer but yes, the pressure must be kept on, especially with the retailers/landowners and letting them know they employ scammers. The demise of UKPC will be in the interests of Troy/BPA, and the DVLA
Let's all wait to see what the BBC programme tonight reveals.
As I am not in the Midlands area, and like many will watch on iPlayer later.0 -
Hey Beamerguy,
Reguarding your Video link, is it still correct that The companies should reply to your appeals within a 14 day period, or has this changed?
Many thanks,LJamesP

If you've got Sky TV you can pick it up 'live' on Channel 959.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
