I too will be a blob in a chair, just the same as everyone else.. what use will any of us be realistically? Or are you all cyborgs and will function effectively until the end of time? it's not at all disrespectful, I'm just not deluded or having unrealistic ideas of what the future holds for us all.
Whichever way you look at it it is disrespectful. You can not possibly justify that comment.
A high percentage of the elderly population very much have their marbles intact (for want of a better phrase), and so are from being a "blob in a chair". You should be disgusted with yourself that those words even came out of your mouth.

Nope.. sorry, you're still waaaaay off... keep stalking.. you've been slacking since your previous Id
hahaha ..
I have never had another ID. I just don't post very much. Mostly cos I get annoyed by so many posts. :rotfl:Life is too short to waste a minute of it complaining about bad luck. Find joy in the simple things, show your love for those around you and be grateful for all that you have.

Nursing students did get their fees paid, so back in 2010 that was £3k a year (but not money in their hand), bursary £6k then if they took loans that was about £3 or maybe £4 k but of course that had to be repaid. Any extra was if they had kids or were disabled, I'm not sure if a nursing student would be severely disabled as it is a very physically and mentally demanding job so I don't think it would be a good career choice with many disabilities. Where does the £23k come from? Even now newly qualified nurses are starting on a lower salary than that.
I doubt it.. £23k over a 3 year course you just said they get £18 so its less but not much.. plus course fees paid and the loan if they took it out.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
But you were clearly getting more in benefits than you were paying in tax.

9 years ago I was married with a husband who was the manager of a successful building company.. things changed a bit.. like I said.. should I kill my 5 year old because we were ok then and now we're not?
Just trying to work on the maths on that one you have a five year old because things were fine 9 years ago. That was a hell of a long pregnancy. You have my sympathies 9 months always seemed a long time to me.Sell £1500

I'm not flaming you, I think the welfare state is a good thing and I don't want any disabled person or any child to live in poverty. You said you were paying more in that you were taking out, my point was accuracy not that you shouldn't have it.Sell £1500

Not really it was fine in context.. and a bursary is a one off allocation whereas fees are annually charged.. I assumed people knew that.. I do!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Lilelvis.. name calling is a sure sign you have nothing constructive to add.
us 3 parents pay more in tax than we get in.. that is all that you seem bothered about.. if they didn't take the tax they wouldn't have to give it back!
..and as tax credits and child benefit are available to everyone on a low income and as none of you even know how many children we claim for your bigoted ill-informed opinions are wholly inaccurate.. and the fact you begrudge millions of children all over the country the bread on their table speaks volumes about you as human beings! 5.2 MILLION children are in families whose incomes are so low they need tax credits.. it is disgusting there is a need.. if a decent wage was paid most could be out of that because many of those families are working..
You are in a fortunate position that within your low income household you can afford to have more children. I know many families who would love to have a second or third child but they simply can not afford to.0
