Would love to join this, reading through and ready for an April start
Join in. Set a budget from now that wish to stick to until your next pay date
I'm setting a budget of £240 to last me until my next pay date in 4 weeks time. I'll keep posting here until the April thread is opened.
It is pay day today and I am desperate for a big shop but Barclays is stupid and counts debits before credits so it is the following day before I can touch my pay £36/£240

no spend day for me. I am having a weightwatchers meal tonight that I found in the freezer and OH is having a sausage toastie with beans. I have made a veggie casserole and bean burgers today so that's another couple of meals made for next to nothing. Usually I go shopping on Friday but can hold off for now.must say NO to impulse buys!GC March Challenge £182/200

Spent £8 this evening: cucumber, 4 oranges, couscous, 12 chipolatas, 6 eggs, cheese and some discounted grapes. This amount of money bought me so little, I struggle to understand how do people live on £20/week and eat well...
I don't get to buy many YS products due my odd working hours. Shame.0 -
YS spends of £6 last night.bagged £28 worth of fresh fish and lots of lovely prepared sarnies and fresh veggies, should of cost me £47.98 in total.x0

Spent £202.20 so far with just a few bits of fresh and dairy to go before payday (hopefully 24th as 25th is Bank Holiday and usual 26th is Saturday). I need to stay below £230 to keep my theoretical "stores" 13th month intact and ready for unexpected things and Christmas planned overspends. Overall just 22.58% of my annual budget spent against an expected 23.08% for average first three months - can't compete with JackieO - awesome!
Have a good Easter everyone
SLSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

Morning chums just off to do my second mini-shop of the month Only things I have run out of so shouldn't be too expensive . Sorted out some of the tinned stuff yesterday I seem to have enough to feed and army in the cupboards !!! Still means less to buy I suppose

Changed my plan after I drove to the shops in Sittingbourne So cold and windy I decided I would get a bit extra and it will save me trundling round the packed shops next weekend So I lashed out £21.50 and have now got everything I need with extra fruit and veg etc to last me well until the end of the month, So a grand total of £43 23 spent in two shopping trips this month and fingers crossed no more to buy at all in March
:):) I hate shopping and the thought of trailing around next weekend wasn't appealing at all Included in my shop was 4 cadburys eggs from Lidls at 99p each for my DGS so I am more than pleased with my budget this month

Now at £125/£175 after my weekly shop. And we're having steak ciabattas tonight thanks to some YS action!! Looks like I'll be on budget for the month, although I know that Easter weekend will be a bit pricey.
I costed up one of my curries for a blog post after a colleague asked for the recipe- turns out it costs about £2.80 per meal for 4 people. It's a spinach, lentil and sweet potato curry which I serve with brown rice. Good motivation to continue!!August grocery challenge: £120/£1800
