Over £110.00 since I last posted. Paid for my sister in laws birthday meal out as her birthday present, we see her very rarely and it was a lovely meal but have also bought grocery items and meat that I probably didn't need particularly.
Need to recoup next month. Have only got £44.00 left until the end of March and another birthday next week to budget for. Good job the freezers are full again :)

About £350 so far this month on households stuff,...BUT nigh on £ 800 on other.Eeeeekkkkk. This does include wood (our main fuel source) which should last until next winter and some replacement garden machinery for veg patch that had worn out.( 'fessing up to an electric cultivator back/shoulder issues so digging getting too much. Wonder how many veggies I need to harvest to make this up :-)

Have £1 and some pennies to spend until end of this week...that will be for eggs and YS bread. I think I have enough to feed myself for the week, yippee! I swear, counting calories really helps with the budget!

    Edit:

I've just tried this simple recipe and it's delicious!

To be honest, even in the middle of the process it tasted good. I shall try to use beans as an alternative to meat more often.

Eeek. £280.55. Some good reductions on turkey mince which I use a lot. I am trying to eke out my protein, but think I may have to do an order before the end of the month, and that will be about £50 unless I get a really good deal. Grrr.

DH is working nights over Easter, so we aren't going anywhere or doing anything special. I will just have to be careful not to indulge in chocolate on my own.

Went to Booths yesterday to see what I could get from their YS, found some good bargains including cheese reduced to 30p, so I am now up to £152.91/£200.
must say NO to impulse buys!

Just updating spends, spent £46.91 since my last update in 5 small shops, leaving me with a total spend of £293.55/£300.
This does include chocolate for Easter which technically is in next months budget so I could move those spends to next month, but keeping them in this month for now.
I'm hopeful that I won't need to buy much between now and thursday so should still make it within budget.

Do you have a market nearby? There are also some stores now that do really good meat deals. Depends where you live though!

Oooops. Not done very well this month. my last week of the month and I'm over budget and still need a few bits for the weekend. I shall blame Ocado for constantly sending me a £20 e-mail voucher every week for god knows how many months. Decided to take advantage of it this week and stock up on some lovely different blocks of marinated tofu and other veggie stuff I just can't get anywhere else. Had to spend £60 to get the £20 taken off and also free delivery. Lovely different food but too expensive even with a voucher off.

So, spends are Ocado £40.02 and Ald! £34.40. Will do better next month :o

Have a lovely Easter break everyone x
