:eek:Thank you for the welcome @Coxy11, I have kept a note of spends throughout March :eek:
I have a note of all my standing orders so that`s fine, I am a 65 year old widow, I have a dog , in March I spent £192 on grocery, £60 cash backs, £40 on garden and just under £30 on miscellaneous items, £20 petrol.
No wonder I am skint.
I will withdraw £50 from cashpoint when nearby, that will be it for April, my 2 freezers are full, I have not counted dog biscuits as purchased in Feb and need no more for months, I should have enough chicken for dog for April, so apart from fresh veg, which I have quite a bit already, and loads frozen, that should get me through most of the month. :whistle:Do I need it or just want it.0 -
It's been a while since I totted it all up but so far so good for March - a big grocery shop for £50.46 last week plus a few bits and bobs takes the total so far up to £228.38. That leaves us £31.62 to last us until 30th March. There's loads in the freezer so I'm going to go through that today and work out what we can eat, and top up a few bits over the weekend to last us!Savings target: £25000/£25000

A spend today of £16.68. £12 of this was on a huge leg of lamb which I'll roast on Sunday when I have family around.
The rest was spent on more of the 25p veg which I've prep'd for the freezer.
1 week in to my budget but more than half way through my budget. I'm not worried though as I have a full freezer and cupboards now.£36/£240
£5522

Day 16 of 31. New total £113. £12 left to stick to budget.
Now day 25/31 - 6 days left - £4 in my purse...
Having my money in cash does quite sharpen one's resolve. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
House Bought July 2020 - 19 years 0 months remaining on term
Next Step: Bathroom renovation booked for January 2021
Goal: Keep the bigger picture in mind...0 -
Hi
Another £65 to add! Petrol and medicines so unfortunately necessary.
Planted onions and garlic today as gorgeous weather here, but bit wary of putting in toms, peas and pots before sure we won't get another frost.
Keep safe and warm and enjoy Easter
XMarch Budget : £600
April Budget: £ 5500 -
Bought a pint of milk and some eggs. I'm already in next week's budget BUT my freezer is now full of finest sausages, chipolatas, lamb and fish
So it's quite a milestone for me to spend this little and even stock up. Will need to buy some veg tomorrow.

All I spent is £28.09 in Sainsbuds and £18.49 in Tosco this month. Still have 2 freezers full of stuff so won't need much for next month. Having 2 lots of visitors ( school hols) so next month I might be up to £200 again as I was at Christmas. Can't believe I spent so little - hadn't really noticed till I added up my spending diary.
I write everything I buy down on an envelope and put the receipts inside it. Different envelope for each month so it is very easy to see what months I spend too much.
Off to pickle some beetroot I had in the garden and make a crumble with last years apples stored in the garage. Have loads of brussel sprouts still growing and the broccoli is good this year.0
