I've totted up my food receipts for March so far £87.85 and I've still got milk and bread in the freezer so I think that's it for this month. x
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

the full shop cost £41.21 from aldi and I then did a shop at tesco as I had a £4 off £30 spend voucher, stocked up on a few things I can't get in aldi and spent £28.17 so total spend £120.94/£250.It's not looking good for getting under target :o

I have noticed my tesco shop has other things on it so need to take off£4.25 total £116.69.
    New spends £3 as da, £65.68 Aldi, £12.79, Aldi, 12.26 Aldi, £45.29.

Spend £255.71/£250 = failed but still happy with that as we have had a week away self catering included, plus Easter and a birthday party to cater for. Done for March, off to April

I am doing so amazingly well at just £98.87 with 2 days to go.

Next challenge is making April's diet super healthy as I am F.A.T getting fat.

OH wants to go to the cinema after work (have free tickets), so am thinking might be a burger dinner for speed and will take that out of the grocery budget.
    Keep reading books!
    July grocery challenge START: £150.

I know I have two days to go of this month's GC (payday is Friday), but I'm taking a chance and declaring £166.55 for March, from a £250 budget. DD didn't need a student food shop this month (usually about £50), which made a difference, plus I've been spending alternate weekends at m'chap's place instead of him coming to me, while we sort his flat out for sale. We've been shopping from his cupboards (he's laid down stores in preparation for rationing:rotfl: ), and that's saved me a bit too.

I'm going to go for £240 next month and move what I didn't spend this month into my Christmas food budget.

Spent £4.39 today. Noticed that some of my usual buys are few pennies cheaper at lidl, will need to make an effort to shop there more often (hate those queues!).

I have learned that I don't have to eat lots of fresh salad everyday in order to get my fiber, cooked vegetables are just as good! And discovered beans again - cheap protein source.

I also stopped buying bread at full price, I only buy it reduced now.

    Hiya everyone

I'm back from my holibobs and managed to collect a chest infection on the way so not feeling too brilliant.

DH has been shopping and managed to spend £45.26. We needed quite a bit to restock fridge but had an NSD today.

Should have enough food in until end of month except maybe some more milk, but not declaring in case I put the mockers on it :rotfl:

Well done all those coming in under budget and well done everyone for trying. If you didn't manage this month hopefully you can see where you need to make more of an effort.

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

But always remember, the relentless urge to shop around favours firms that pay lowest wages as a general rule which often means loss of British jobs in favour of chap foreign workers as we're hearing tonight with the prospect of Port Talbot closing

Money saving has real effects on real people. I'm not saying don't do it, but just understand the consequences and don't mindlessly cheer people on Question Time that claim they believe in better wages for brits

    Now day 25/31 - 6 days left - £4 in my purse...

Having my money in cash does quite sharpen one's resolve.

Today is the last day of the month for me. Payday on the 31st.

I've still got the £4 in my purse, and I'm not planning on shopping today.

    I'm declaring a total spend of £121.

I've got a list underway for after payday, but I might see if I can eke it out another week.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
