I've not posted here for a while but need to as I am still spending too much. I think it will help me keep on track of my grocery spending better. I'm not throwing anything away and using leftovers but I'm not reducing my spending as much as I would like.
We went to Li*l yesterday as I had a £5 off voucher. I had meal planned the day before and spent £53.56. I had to replace some store cupboard items (sugar, flour, mustard) and I bought some chocolate eggs/bunnies. I found some rechargeable batteries whilst there which will come in useful. I have a charger but very few batteries.
I've also got to add £19.95 for a large leg of lamb I got from a local farmshop. All the family are coming over for Sunday lunch. I providing the main course and SIL's the starters and dessert/cheese.Books - the original virtual reality.

I've been offline for a while but managed to keep on track with spending in Jan (£193.06 on groceries) and Feb (£212.17). Just starting to look at my March receipts and realised that I've probably blown the grocery budget on works lunches this month... Oops! Time to get back on it.
On the plus side my son is still veggie so Easter Sunday dinner will be a lot cheaper than normal

I spent £8.68 at Aldi - just thought I would snap up a few bargains before Easter. We now have quite a lot carrots, parsnips, potatoes plus a half price loaf of bread and some coffee refill. I really do have to draw a line now as I am getting to my limit.must say NO to impulse buys!GC March Challenge £182/200

Hi
Another £100! This month has just sucked money.
Next month a BIG spend due on roof ( saved for for quite a while, but still...). Hope the veg patch produces as summer months could be very lean
Keep safe and warm

Good evening all,
I've been quiet this month, life has been rather hectic, nothing ominous, just hectic!
Having just done a tally, and it doesn't include cash spent, as frankly, I've been a bit off kilter when it comes to cash, which I must reign back in next month.
My totals are:
Groceries: £304.71
Take outs: £194.90
Eating out: £114.15
Total: £613.76
However, I know, know, know that there's probably another £80-100 unaccounted for as my cash withdrawals are higher.
Right, just been to do first shop for April, so I will see you in April's thread !GC - March 2024 -0 -
£6.32 at lidl on veggies, salad and salami. I think I will start shopping there more frequently as prices are quite good!0

A spend of £5.41 yesterday. Bought fruit, milk and butter. I shouldn't need to spend the rest of the week now. Fingers crossed!£36/£240

Just totted up after a couple of weeks offline and have badly overspent  £451.62 of my budgeted £400. I can really see the difference when I don't plan carefully!! So annoying, of course we have to eat but still throwing food out regularly and feel kids eat a lot of junk
Getting that spring feeling for a fresh start so hope April will be better.
This weeks favourite discovery: Portobello mushrooms stuffed with onions, peppers and soft cheese, topped with breadcrumbs and baked in the oven. So tasty I had them 2 nights in a row.GC Feb 2019 (to 10th) £397.07/£3000 -
