I spent a bit today, £19.80 in the supermarket - found that cotton wool in the medical section was £1 and 35p in the baby section for about the same amount! In total it's £178.97/£200 - so hopefully should make it till the end of the month. Tonight we are having home made bean burgers with my 30p YS barm cakes. I have learned to be much more aware of costs and have been checking out the pound shops and bargain stores this afternoon.
must say NO to impulse buys!

I'm gutted I was doing so well and had spent the £100 in March with just a week to go then I went and blew it and spent £50 in Asda on random bits and bobs. So annoyed at myself! I only went in for Easter Eggs and got carried away
  • I'm going to declare at £384 for the month. Not quite sure its true as the Easter eggs were bought from another budget but I'm running with it!

    Happy bank holidays everyone.

Hi and welcome to pamsdish and sharronej. The April GC should be up and running in the next few days and we look forward to having you along for the journey

DH was made redundant yesterday - we knew it was coming but it still sucks! He is waiting for paperwork to be sent to him in the post as the HR rep decided to work from home yesterday and wasn't able to meet with him in person. What a joke.

Anyway, today was payday and he will be paid again in a months time along with redundancy of six weeks. I was looking forward to doing the first of April's shops tomorrow and had planned to go to Aldi early, but a neighbour has just phoned to say she has 32 12" and 8 16" fresh pizza bases she needs to home until 15th April. Bang goes all my available freezer space in both my inside larder freezer and the garage overflow. These will be used for various church activities with the children (I work for the church) and they were free as our local Morrisons, who don't have a fresh pizza counter were delivered them by mistake. They then rang our local primary school who couldn't take them, so neighbour (PTA member) took them home.

Off to DSis's tomorrow afternoon where I will be cooking SW diet cola chicken for everyone in a bid to get to my target on Monday (just 2lb away, c'monnnnnn).

Hope you all have a fab Easter,
    Coxy

I'm declaring £293.55 for March and have already spent £55.68 of April's budget. Hoping most of the shopping I did today in B*M will last for the month but with the kids being off for 2 weeks I'm going to have to be careful to make it last.

As expected, I've gone over. However, the Easter discounts made it worthwhile putting my protein orders in early. It will all be eaten in April though. Now I just have to keep my purse firmly shut for a week:D
