First supermarket and meat shop of the month. £38 in Mo*****ns for fruit, veg, dog food, frozen fish, coffee and cleaning products; and £20.00 at the butchers on our nearest market for trays of pork steaks, lamb chops, sausages and a shoulder of mutton.
Freezer is now defrosted and needs filling up again so will be bulk cooking this month. Trying one of the pork slow cooker recipes from the top of this thread :) Many thanks to the mods here for making them so accessible.

  • I'm in again this month and so far so good. I need to stock up on some meat for the freezer and my toiletries audit revealed we were low on mouthwash. So it should just be bread and fruit and veg this month (she says hopefully!).

First spend of the month (makes a change for me, I'm normally broke by now!).

£11 at the butchers on bits for a few cooked brekkies.
£35 from Iceland online - due to be delivered today - mostly UHT milk as it was on offer by the crate.
£1 at the theatre last night (ooer look at me) buying a flapjack which I split with a friend.

    Interim total £47.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
