Morning folks,
Well, I tallied up February, which was an unmitigated disaster:
Takeaway: 220.85
Groceries: 297.16
Eating Out: 204.21
Total: 722.22
The figure I was most disappointed with was the takeaway figure (and this is only the receipted figure as well, I know that there were cash items on top of this ... but line drawn)
So, this month's aim, is once again £600, concentrating on the takeaway figure!
I'm also changing my dates a little, this month is running from 28/02/2016 to 26/03/2016, mainly because month end to month end falls in the week so doesn't really fit in with our life! (Oh and payday is 25th!)GC - March 2024 -0 -
Stayed in budget last month so really chuffed about that. Lets see if we can do it again :T
First shops of the new month and my totals are - Ald! £75.94 and Mr T's £16.82. Signature updatedGrocery Challenge - Sept £205.56/£350.000 -
Morning all! 1 March is the first day of my March GC. Can I please record a budget of £250 for this month? I still have a fair bit in the freezer, but I think I'll be doing an online order for my student DD this month. That's usually about £50. So a reduction of £10 from February's budget, I think. I made it for January £200/£200 exactly and February £199.55/£200. Less in the freezer now so budget up to £250 but I want to defrost so still plugging away
Tues Pasta & chicken
Wed Fish pie
Thurs Sausage casserole
Fri Spag bol
Sat Lamb burgers & chips
Sun Mountain meatballs
I bought a whole chicken and some pork mince to make the meatballs, the rest is coming from freezer and cupboards. First shopping day is Thursday so need to plan for at least another 3 days before writing the shopping list.0 -
First shop done yesterday spent £47.60 in lidl and £38.52 in tesco which isn't too bad. The annoying bit is I came out of lidl with loads of bags and only 1 and 1/2 from tesco
So the remaining budget for March is £313.88konMarie and fabbing all the way

I'm in for March please and would like to be down for the same as last month - ie £390. Had to do a fairly big order today but included stuff like washing powder etc but that's already put me up to over £80! Let's just see how it goes; at least I'm trying to keep the costs down.
It's interesting because since I've been doing this I've really changed the way I shop. I used to think what I wanted and then buy it, but now I look at what's on offer and plan my weeks food around that. Subtle difference but saving me more £s definitely.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Hello all. Close out Feb. Slightly less horrific than January, but still too much spend on indulgences and drinks. I'm going for £300 for March. We ate down a lot of prepared stuff as I have been ill for the past 2 weeks so not cooking, and buying too much snack food.
Back to menu planning. Roll on May when I get my driving licence back - no more hanging around Mr T and Mr W while waiting for the hourly bus.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Can I please join ?

Back from shopping and my monthly store cupboard shop plus this weeks fresh stuff...£87.19.
My total spend for 2016 is now: £840.48.
I just have my veg box deliveries for the rest of the month to pay for: £70 and milk and bread top ups around £25, so hopefully should come in under budget and on track for march:):T
Will adjust signature and now purse is staying firmly shut as I am doing a fiscal fast for a week and planning on the next 7 days being NSD's:DNovember NSD's - 70
