    Happy St Davids Day everyone.

Huuuuge shops done yesterday as we really were down to the escapee fish finger at the bottom of the freezer. We even ran out of pasta!!!! Bad indeed.

Anyway 90 odd spent in also. Then 50 in Mr m but that did include chicken (don't like also chooks ) and also the kids easter eggs. Finally did 6 in £land. Total spent 155.86. Half the budget gone but plenty of stocking up done! X

I have followed the Jan & Feb from a distance to learn from yous :)
My budget is £400 for March
    Thank You xxx:D

 Not me, I hope

I've slammed the door on February and am running away....

Trying to get our food budget under some sort of control this month, but it's Easter Holidays this month, so that might be optimistic. So, first delivery of the month totalled £62.48. That leaves me with £287.52. Hmmm....

Hi everyone! I'm back after more than a year away - going through a divorce and all over the place

As a result, I have less money than ever but at least only myself and the cat to feed!

Can I try for £80 this month. My stockpile has been dwindling quite low - you can see the back of my cupboards for the first time I can remember :o

First big shop of the month comes in at £90.02, have told the entire family we have a budget this month, so they are all with me.

Have downloaded a spending tracker as well so it's easy to record things. Its actually making me quite obsessed, but in a good way!

Evening all (or rather "morning" !) ...

    2 NSD's for me here .... phew.

1st grocery delivery of the month, figures in the signature. Oddly unsatisfying, whilst a needs must. Too busy time wise to go in person, hence delivery, but feeling it's a lot heavier in price than had I gone myself, although no real facts behind that.

3 days of no takeouts too :)

Rest of the week looks roughly like this:

Wed - Parents evening ... so going to grab pizza from Sainsbury's
Thurs - my evening class - macaroni cheese
Fri - burgers / baps / HM wedges
Sat - eating out (traveling half the country to visit both mothers ... hence tea out :) ).
    Sun - Mother's day (mine ;) ) ... DH/DD cooking pork joint with Yorkies :)

    Morning all
Thanks Jackie o for the advice/idea for self control when in food aisles.
We have Easter and a five week month so March will be especially challenging.
I aim to start on Monday with a sack of potatoes and onions from a wholesaler.
Could also do with a farm fds trip, I was amazed at their prices in Jan. I am so sick of over shopping, and feeling ripped off by supermarket prices.
Easy to feel determine now, how will I feel in aisle 6 on Easter Thursday??????
    Have fun all.

    Hi all.
Thank you for adding me to the group.
Yesterday was the first shop of the month, it was the most organised shop I had ever done. List in hand meant I kept to it and no impulse purchases made. Hoping this becomes a way of shopping as I tend to do just grab and go normally.
    So spent £27.86 in Al*i.
    March GC £27.86/£350
