I thought he meant for hoarding but he means Relate for both of us so I'm going to ring and book something tomorrow morning.
Feeling scared, vulnerable and have shaky legs (warning sign of MH flare up waiting to happen).
TBH.. I'd have binned them without a word.. a living creature is hardly the same as a pile of rotting paper.
Do you want to go to relate? Do you think they will help?? in my experience they don't counsel, they mediate.. if you don't want to go say no.. and don't ever forget that sometimes we have to admit we tried and our best was not good enough.. and he appears to be the one with MH issues, you are being perfectly rational and reasonable he is not, not at all.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
just popping in to say hello. Had a very rough week - not feeling at all well atm.
Have taken the decision yo phone the hospital next week. I am pretty scared atm.
Hugs and vibes to Mumof2. OH isn't anything like as bad, but I do recognise the symptoms.
Wanted to send a whole lot of stuff to the charity shop's sorting warehouse with DD1, but on Saturday they were so full thy were refusing donations!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Hugs mumof2. I agree with Mrs m he needs to admit the problem.
Lovely knitting pigpen.
Well second tumble dryer in 10 days has gone back this morning. 1st one didn't heat up and this one won't spin. Narked off. Dh rowed with them and got out money back. Can anyone recommend a good condenser tumble dryer please?
I've done the ironing, cleared assorted airers and folded and distributed.
Treated myself to a load of new knitting yarn. Haven't done any at all over Christmas and really itching to do some. Have ordered online so hopefully won't take long to come in.
Loaded dw and put it on.
Right am off to help Dd1 with homework whilst dd2 plays on wii with Dh x0 -
Mumof2 Pots of posi vibes and a huge hug heading your way chick ((((((hugs)))))) just reading that i felt frustrated with him, my OH is a hoarder too but I left him and set up home by myself with the kids, bit drastic and wasnt the only reason, but were happy as pigs in muck now living seperately, theres hope and theres always a solution even if its not what we want, sometimes it has to be what we need xx
Sorry to hear that CY youve been doing so well too, hope you feel a bit better soon, worry taking away vibes heading your way, chin up chuck, luffs ya (((((((((hugs)))))))))) xx
Crowdpleaser, how annoying but glad you got your money back. Not sure what makes youve had recently but I swear by Beko, all of my appliances are theirs, absolutely spot on, inc. My TD xx0 -
CY - hope you feel better soon.
For a day not doing flying I seem to be doing rather a lot. Sorted washing, unblocked a drain.
This is a conversation I had with DH while just luxuriating in the bath. He'd made a mess in the hobby room:
Him - how do you use this hoover?
So I explained.
After he'd cleaned up: how long have we had this hoover then?
Me: At least 6 months
At least he had the grace to look sheepish. If this was on twitter, it would have the #lazysoandso

Morning all, just
(okay so it was when I started writing this post lol)
Mumof2 - *Hugs*
Had a lie in this morning until 9.30 then stayed in bed doing an online comparison shop at Mr ADecided to split the list between Mr A and Mr Al (they're right opposite each other) to get the best deals. Now just going to double check stuff on the website where the print is bigger and I can make sure I haven't forgotten anything. :rotfl:
Not sure what I'll be doing for the rest of the day, I should clean really, but I may be tempted to do some baking instead depending on how full the freezer is when we get backThen again I may sit down and knit or just chill with DD or get my lists together for shopping tomorrow.

Piggers that blanket is fabulous! It's take me at least 2 years to do something like that, so I'm well impressed with you doing it in 2 weeks!:o
Mumof2 (((HUGS))) and loads of posi-vibes. I wish I had something more concrete to offer you. One of Mr LW's pals is a hoarder; I once visited his home, and it was awful - you literally couldn't move for stacks of old magazines, computer bits, and other general detritus. I hope to goodness you can sort something - I have no idea if Relate would maybe be able to point you in the direction of any counselling for J. I have to admit I felt very angry when you said he'd mentioned getting rid of Whiz Whippet. I agree with Piggers, he's the one with the MH issues; you're a sensible, rational person being ground down by the stress of living with a hoarder.
CY I was just thinking about you last night and wondering if you were ok. Gentle (((HUGS))) and posi-vibes, mate.
Mr LW has just finished this week's ironing, and is now in the loft - and from the sound of all the clattering, he's throwing down empty cardboard boxes to be put for recycling.:T
ETA: How's Valli-Cat doing?If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
CY - Gentle hugs
Menu plan is written. I have in theory 2 weeks worth of meals but I know I'll need to go and do a top up shop later in the week for milk and fresh fruit. I'll also raid the YS areas to see if there's anything useful, but I'm easily within my budget, and I still have money left over from last week
Now I need to go and kick DD's backside into gear. She's done a disappearing act upstairs again! :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I have a question for you lovely ladies (and gents if there's any!) How do you keep organised and on top of things? My house right now is a total mess, it's embarrassing :rotfl:
I work a lot and work quite long hours so most of the time I don't get up early enough to get much more than a load of laundry in the machine and at night i'm too tired! I'm off all day tomorrow and my dog is at daycare so I have between 9.30 and 3.30 to get stuck in before the queen of the household gets picked up and demands attention/gets in the way!Debt Paid - £0/£7240
