Not done too badly, but only because I haven't been at work for the last three days! I have a houseful this weekend, but I'm hoping they won't be too messy and I can build on the progress I've made.

we are a one use towel family too.. you dry your bum and bits on them.. why would you want to dry your face on it next time you use the towel?? You could get a pube stuck on your nose.. or a bum flake in your eye and get conjunctivitis.. or vag-jam.. or any of the other multitudes of ickies..

That's why towels often come in sets Pigpen - I have a bath sheet for drying my body, and smaller towel for hair and a hand-towel in the same colour for my face and a separate white hand towel for hand washing. Flannels I wash after each use, and I use a separate muslin cloth for my face which is changed every couple of days.

my hair requires a bath sheet too.. I tend to drip dry if I am honest.. the thought of spreading body parts to other body parts isn't pleasant.. I have issues with body juices.. I will cook chicken from frozen, eat 3 day old rice, then fall to bits over a bit of saliva..

    Morning all.

Greenbee, you have achieved so much this week, I hope you have a lovely weekend with your family and enjoy the fruits of all your hard work for many weeks to come.

My list for today looks remarkably like yesterday's, with a few additions (that's because I had developed a headache by lunchtime yesterday and slept for 2 hours in the afternoon):

    - Course writing continues: nearly finished Unit 1 of 4
    - Phone J
    - Remove molehill from lawn and cut back old hellebore leaves so that we can see the flowers
    - Laminating
    - Prepare papers for Trustees' Meeting
    - Sort DGS2's birthday present
    - Write and post D's birthday card
    - Go to a concert with DH this evening - really looking forward to this :)

DH promised that breakfast would be ready 10 minutes ago - he needs something to get him moving in the mornings  (and I don't mean castor oil!)

See you later. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round x

    Morning,

I won't enter into the towel debate:) since I supervise all the bathing still here ;) but we all have our own towels.

mmm are you waiting to hear about your job too? Mine doesn't exist anymore although I did have to apply for someone else's  but I don't officially find out until early next month:( it's the not knowing that's the worst. And also the nagging doubt that I won't get child tax credits. Does anyone know, you can still get CTC if you are not looking for work, even if your kids are school age? I'm hoping to take some time out to study... And capital isn't counted for tax credits is it? Such doubt in my mind!

To get ready for DD ballet soon, then an afternoon at home - poss even a nap! DD is bushed and I'm out tonight so we might all benefit from it.

I want to get a uniform wash on before we go, and empty the DW when we get back.

But shower and dress first! Off I go!

    Away with the fairies
  • Well last week was a total failure, I was at was up and off to work 5:30 every morning and although I finished at 2 every day I was then schlepping to and fro from 2:45 until 7 collecting hubby, grandchildren and delivering them to after school clubs etc.
I'll have a mad blitz today once I've dropped hubby at work, collected prescription from Dr's taken it to chemist, gone to bakers for bread rolls, butchers for sausages, back to collect hubby, aarrgh, is it any wonder I get nothing done!
    Chin up, Titus out.
  • Bossy I am fairly sure that you get tax credits when you are not looking for work. I had 2 years off work and they didnt ask me what I was doing! They definitely dont take capital into account but you do have to declare if you are receiving an income from savings. I bet you will be glad when all this is sorted out.

Up early, finance spreadsheets done, washing in TD.

DS2 has just shuffled downstairs and told me that he was playing on his playstation until 4am. Not going to get much sense out of him today then.

Not much planned for today. The car is filthy inside and out but it seems pointless to tackle it when its so wet. Might feel like doing it if it drys up later. Oh and I should really get the hoover out, didnt get the boys bedrooms finished yesterday.

Bossy the tax credits take into account the taxable income you get from the savings but do not take savings into account.. so the interest.

Loads needs doing today.. so I'm having a cuppa and getting my knitting out.. it will all be right there tomorrow waiting for me too!

Expect a Monday cleaning frenzy <3
