    Dinner done and scoffed

Must be PJ and bed time for the beastlets so I can knit my evening away again :) I have about 44 rows left so hopefully if Pixie stays asleep I can get a fair chunk of that sorted this evening :)

OH is on about going to DD1's to play board games again.. I may not be a happy chicken if he does! I want to get my blanket finished.

Nicki we have a system here with towels. Everyone has their own towels, we each have 2 of our own colour. Everyone gets their towels washed twice a week, possible less often in winter if the weather is bad. No-one would dream of using someone elses towel and it works really well.

Been a long day. Vets was traumatic as the dog did not want to be injected in the bum! Our new vet is wonderful and gave us lots of helpful advice. Dog is still feeling a bit poorly so getting lots of tlc.

Will catch up on a few jobs tomorrow. Day at home planned which I am so looking forward to!

We do towels by colour too YL.

And we also assume that people are clean after showering or baths, so towels are hung up to dry and are washed weekly. The exception is handtowels and kids/men seem to use them for cleaning their hands rather than drying them.

I'm nearly ready for visitors. I have a few odds and ends to shop for tomorrow morning, but the house is pretty much ready. I MUST remember to cover the cake though. Lots of kids mean it's safer to have sugarpaste over it so the cake is kept away from germs (and bits of melted wax) after they've 'helped' blow out the candles...

We have 2 bath sheet sized towels each with different patterns on, 2 microfibre sports towels which are big enough to use as bath towels, then there are 2 sets of bath/hand towels which match, about 8 hair towels and about 20 flannels. This morning they were all in the wash except 1 hand towel, or they were soaking wet. I know 1 lot was from me using them but the rest must have been DD over the past few days. I'm buying more towels when I decorate, then I might get different colours for each of us lol

Not much achieved here since my last post. I put the books out (took me 20 minutes :o), popped to the c0-0p and DD washed up some more dishes but left the heavier things as her wrist is a bit achy but much better than it was. Since then we've spent the evening chilling in front of the TV decluttering programmes we've recorded ;)

I'll really have to pull my finger out tomorrow and get the cleaning done while DD is out with ex, but I have no plans to go anywhere so I'll put my comfy cleaning clothes and crank the music up ;)

    Evening all :hello:

YL - sorry it was a bit traumatic with the dog but pleased now sorted.

Well done with the decrease in mobile cost MinnieMousesMummy - on Martin's TV show tonight he was saying no-one should be paying more than £18 a month. Ours are £11.50 each so quite pleased with that.

On the towel front I agree with Greenbee. You should be clean when you've had a shower/bath or washed your hair so we have one bath sheet and one hair towel each, which are hung up to dry once used and washed once a week. I do change the hand towel in the bathroom and kitchen every second day. That said we are both adults and tend not to 'wash' our hands on the towels.

So now it seems I just have some hotspots to deal with. Will try to get to them the morrow but have some cooking to do as well and definitely only firing on half-cylinders atm. Am wearing the rather fetch 'eau de V*ck' which seems to help the cough but feel like my legs are only half-full of stuffing :rotfl:

I'm really looking forward to having some cold, crisp, sunny clear days (I wish) instead of this persistent gloom.

    Still to do

Spend 15 minutes sorting paperwork, dealing with anything urgent NOW

Spend 15 minutes tackling a cupboard/storage area you have been avoiding dealing with.

Hugs, posi-vibes, sticks and spoons if you need some

Hope you all have a super Saturday
