  • Evening all :D
Don't think I've said hello to all our lovely new posters :hello:
Just in from the family visiting, totally stuffed thanks to my mam and her obsession about feeding me... Spending a bit of time with dh before I start the panic of being back at work tomorrow. It hasn't hit me yet though...
Maria - I really hope that you're feeling better soon. I hate migraines and I'm always wiped out for days afterwards as well :(

[STRIKE]:staradmin made Nigel Slater's cake (cheers Dawn :D), scones and a batch of rice pudding - it's on cooking now.[/STRIKE] And I have enough food to feed about a hundred people at the moment, except the cake - I refuse to share that.
[STRIKE]:staradmin checked my banking and have become slightly concerned that I can't see any money at all coming towards my account from dh. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow, otherwise January is going to be the longest month EVER.[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:staradmin completed a £25 survey from schoolzone[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:staradmin changed the cat litter[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]:staradmin washed a load of dishes[/STRIKE]
    And still to come
    [STRIKE]:staradmin tutoring[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:staradmin bullying my kids until they give me the money they owe me :p[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:staradmin packing my school bag for tomorrow[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:staradmin visiting both parents (they are divorced so this is 2 visits)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:staradmin get a free feed at my mams[/STRIKE]
:staradmin investigate ideas for 'couple time' that don't involve alcohol or large spends
    [STRIKE]:staradmin aiming for a nsd [/STRIKE]:j
    [STRIKE]:staradmin more making stuff :j[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]:staradmin making sure dh does something (I am getting concerned about him being on his own in the house all day after tomorrow)[/STRIKE]

I've decided I need to up our savings, I am going to make a payment a day to our savings following the ideas in this blog post http://adamngoodlife.com/saving-for-that-rainy-day-is-easier-than-you-think/ I've decide to work backwards that way if I loose motivation I will have saved a reasonable amount and that in it's self might motivate me to continue. As it is a leap year on the 1st I paid £3.66 to the new savings account, on the 2nd £3.65 and today £3.64 etc until the final day of the year when I will only need to transfer 1p and if I manage to do it everyday I will have saved £671.61 by the 31st December 2016.

Thanks for all the tips of places to visit in London, we are hoping to go later in the year any other ideas greatly appreciated.

  • I'm feeling really stressed today and unable to think of anything other than our financial situation!

I've put a few bits on eBay to sell and to throw towards the debt.

I also haven't spent any money whatsoever today.

Well done Flowers2015 :A It's definitely a start. :) We've got a new thread every day so look out for us and I bet you can find some things to report back on tomorrow and the next day and the next day. :)

Extra small thing for me today was that we didn't go shopping - had a bit of a mismash meal but it was tasty all the same.

I'm like you Princess Pea - lots leaving my a/c tomorrow too. (Is it sad that I'm excited about getting up early so I can check through all my accounts/budgets with a nice early morning coffee? :rotfl:)

    Night all xx

Hello Flowers2015 that moving in the right direction :)

Iif you feel able start a new post on the debt free wanna be board http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=76 giving some details of your situation and include a statement of affairs and lovely people will come along to offer support and suggestions on how to make things easier, usually things you haven't noticed as you are so panicked looking into the headlights of fear. If you are not yet ready read lots of posts to make you more familiar with the boards and what they have to offer.
