Stash Busting 2016 - I WILL use my mountains of craftstash before buying more!

This morning I have made 28 Christmas cards and a few art deco ones.

Had a mending and Wip finishing session this morning so a few more things finished.
Elastic sewn on a knitted beard
Sisters wedding anni gift cushion finished
Christmas stocking (made from a kit) finished
Set of three fabric Christmas decorations finished
Used up a few bits and bobs from the craft stash - A zip to mend Dh trousers, some elastic wadding and trims making the decorations knitted another beard so another ball of eyelash wool finished off.

35 items completed.

Working on a little pullover for DGS now.

I have finished off decorating one hand made notebook - finished off 6 rolls of washi tape.

Going to crack on and get another done tonight. Not massive things - but I'm determined to get bits done and keep going. I will get to 500. Haha

Morning all.
Remade a skirt that I had made last year and hardly worn. Was intending to reuse to make something different. The original skirt pattern was from the Tilly and the Buttons book, made up the skirt was a bit to bouncy at the hem if that makes sense and didn't suit me. Unpicked it, now much more A lined and looks fab. Not a great fan of Tilly's patterns but they came with her book that was a free gift with a mag subscription. Total makes up to 21/100, slow but surely getting there.

Decorated 3 notebooks last night. Didn't finish off any more washi rolls though.

Managing a slow steady drip of completed projects.

Every one has been really busy. I have a load of things I need to crack on and get sorted. But have been putting them off.

Well done to everyone on being so productive.

PixieDust, you definitely are on a roll! Lovely cards, MaisieM Nimbo, I think it is good to manage a steady drip of completed projects. I have to confess that I can go weeks without actually crafting using any stash. I'm also prone to playing about with stuff but not actually producing anything, so I will attempt to do much better this year. I've just started back on the 5:2 way of eating so I'm thinking that crafting will be a very good way to distract myself on fast days.

I've finished my Christmas card making session now - I made 21 in the end and one that ended up as a birthday card:


Total is now up to 25/100. I'm looking at doing a bit more stash organising next - which is as much of a hobby to be honest as the actual crafting :o

You've all been such an inspiration and I've finished up more in the last month than I've probably done in the last few years. And still going strong thanks to regular check ins here to keep me on track - so cheers to all of you for making my sewing room then neatest it's been in living memory...

Wow - so many more makes added since my last post - well done stash busters


I'm quickly popping on to declare another two makes towards my total. I've finally got round to decorating two little wooden boxes I have had sitting in my stash for ages. I decorated them with washi tape and I think they look ok but are certainly not my best creations. My daughter loves them though so they may be ending up in her bedroom
