Wow Mrs money penny. That quilt is incredible. I couldn't completely open the other link as on a moving train in the middle of no where - but will check it out later when hame. I really want to make a quilt - that is that gorgeous. I have one in my head - for my bed - but know it's a project for the future. I will do it though. want to wait until I know I'll take my time and do it right.
I have plans for my weekend. And have to declare a small spend. Bought some shirring elastic. £1.76 spent on fleabay. It is for one of my next projects - and will hopefully get it at least started this weekend.
My next projects:
1. Fix fellas trousers.
2. Denim pencil case /make up bag for collegue.
3. Adapt pattern for tunic dress to fit my huge Bresticles
4. Cut and make up pattern (using shirring elastic)
5. Tidy my craft room - it looks like a small bomb has gone off in there.
I plan to do number one and two tonight.
Number three Thursday. And then wing it from there. Haha we shall see. Still no more makes but I am liking the planning.

Thank you nimbo, I was really lucky with it as I mentioned earlier in the thread when I started it I bought the whole kit, including all instruction mags, fabric wadding backing fabric and patchwork fabrics for £3 at a carboot last year. A lady bought it and just photocopied, cut out and laminated the templates, then decided she didn't want to do it. I couldn't believe it as I'd seen it advertised on to. It must have cost her £100s to buy the whole kit. I actually queried her price and asked if she wanted more but she said she just wanted to know it would be made up.
I did buy proper bias binding as the mag suggested making your own from left over strips of the sashing but that wouldn't have been cut on the bias so I didn't think it would sit right.SPC~12 ot 124

That quilt is amazing, well done! Love the jumper and hat too
I have busted........one craft magazine into recycling.0 -
mrs-m, magic work. You wouldn't guess that was your first patchwork project. Love the wee shawl collar jumper too.
craftingmad, why am I not surprised that you may have those toppers? I think we are in parallel universes.
I thought craft rooms were supposed to have no floor showing and have the appearance of a bomb having gone off! Is this not so? Surely not!

Awesome quilt mrs m.
Pleased to say another item that's finished that was started and never finished from last summer. A patchwork tote bag which brings my makes to 36/200. Have a few things unfinished that are lurking at the bottom of my stash cupboard, hope its not cheating. Not bought a thing since before Oct.
Now starting on clothes, have just cut atop from some nice stretch fabric from stash.2020 Stash makes/destash 61/1500 -
My ravelry bargain felted tweed is much reduced now, freeing a nice basket. I am making karm cardigan, it is very easy and the colours blend nicely. I will be finished today, taken only a few days, in crochet. I will still have 10 balls left in assorted colours, I may use the karm effect and make a shorter cardi with short sleeves
The original fabric stash is also reducing, having made several tops, all in the same design, jalie pattern but mixing colours, also made a trapeze dress from stash thin linen
Still got a coat to tackle, it is cut out but just sitting there
Best thing is that I am actually starting to see a bit of space
mrs MP, you have quite a talent0 -
Morning all
Thank you all for the very kind comments about the quilt.
Rosie finishing wips off isn't cheating at all, that's the idea of this challenge using up what you've got in. By finishing wips you'll be clearing loads of stuff and space nice and quickly so you can decide what you want to do as new projects once the decks are cleared.
Made a start on a Bootee last night to go with the shoe box hat.
Have a lovely day all.SPC~12 ot 124

So I have mended my fellas trousers. A day later than intends. Haha
Packaged up two travellers botebook inserts and a leather Dori cover to post off too.
So counting as four things destashed. I realise they're all small but still feeling like I've done something. I NEED to sort the craft room out and find a storage solution for my paper stuffs. They seem to be taking over the house slowly but surely. Haha
I still need to start the pencil cases for my work collegue and the pattern adaptation. However no longer going out on Saturday as I will be nice and wait in for partners delivery. So will crack on with it then. I realise I'm technically behind with my big plans - but I'm still pleased I tried to make big plans.

Managed to sew up a few pencil cases for people at work. I did them all from one pair of jeans. A couple of people at work are going to bring me some more in so that will keep me busy this week.
I have chucked a few bits out - which have been counted as de stashed.
I would have done more today but my partner went canoeing with a friend and the friends son. Came back drowned and cursing as his phones had both been doused. His iPhone and works iPhone. He thought they were safe double bagged in sandwich bags. They are currently sat in a bowel of rice.
He'd also managed to shred the trousers I mended for him the other day. so glad I took the time haha. But I did tell him it was the last mend for that pair of combats as they were becoming more mend than trouser. This tear is beyond fixing so at least I will not have to fix them again.
At least I hadn't mopped all the floors as planned because they've tracked through a fair bit of muck. He's having to go into work to give them my number to be on call with - and then drop off his friend and son.
I'm gutted I still haven't taken on an actual pattern - and the house has been traded by the dumping of much canoe related crud.
BUT I am on track to hit my year target. Because two months in isn't too early to say that at all. Haha
