Another 4 cards made today. Cooking up a storm at the moment lol. I am determined to have my Christmas cards all made by October as I am normally so disorganised and I would like to be able to write them in November so I can post them second class and save money or even better have them ready for when we see people in November and December to minimise postage. Well that's the plan anyway!

Here we go. These three are made using embossing powder and then papers I have accrued. The last one is a thank you card made with scraps from the cards I have been making recently.

  • Those cards look fantastic craftingmad.

Had a bit of a putting together session, I've sewn two baby hats up to add to the bag and made a knitted square into a bunny, but he still needs a pompom tail. All the ends on the knitted beard have been woven in but that still needs elastic attaching.
I did crochet a Christmas tree and a star to test a pattern dd2 wrote out for her grandma but she's taken them as a visual aid to help grandma follow the pattern.
I'll count the two hats as finished makes but the rest are wips

Total completed makes so far 31

  • Lovely to see how busy everyone is. I've had to put the stash busting on hold as we have decided to move house. Cue one giant rush to get house sorted and on the market as we have found one we liked! So have made an offer, had that accepted, put ours on the market and had an open house viewing all within two weeks. Just got to wait to hear the outcome of the open house now - got everything crossed as we don't won't want to lose the house we have offered on.

So the upshot is my craft staff has had to be put into cupboards and boxes to get it out of the way. Not all of it but some and so haven't had anytime to do any crafting at all. Still come on here to see what others are doing :)
  • I have bags of natural yarn, spun when I first learnt to spin, so it is fairly lumpy and quite thick. It has been taking up room for ages. I need bedside rugs, so crochet hook out and am making rugs from it. Nice wool, cream with copper and a grey. Crocheting fairly loose and will felt in the washing machine when I think its big enough. Making it oversize as it will shrink. It has taken me years to decide what to do with it :D
  • Slow and steady progress... another birthday card completed using a cross stitch magazine card kit from my stash. I've just found a picture frame that was a gift with another magazine, that will fit another cross stitch picture perfectly, so that's going to be my next de-stash project.

  • Amazing makes everyone!

I've made 20 cards all from stash, scrapbooked a recent trip and made some pretty labels for future use in journals.

Not worried about counting totals, just glad to be using up stash!

I have managed a quick seed planting session - had a gift for v day that I had stashed in the yard is of a craft room that I have planted up - in the hopes I have some beautiful sweet peas in a few weeks - months.

Normally this would be sat there for a year or so before planting and realising the seeds were now no good. so a small win in not allowing the stash to grow at least. Haha

    Total now 58 / 500.

Feeling rotten so plan to go to bed fairly early so nothing big will get done - but I may decorate a note book or two with washi tape and motivational quotes I got for Christmas.

I'm determined to get through some stuff early on to keep me motivated. The decorated notebooks won't necessarily take up less space but I'll be using my huge stash of washi up at least.

Glad everyone has gotten through bits - I am at some point going to start the card making - but am currently working up the courage to open up that massive can of worms...

  • I have sinned......the lure of The Range was too great for me.

However with the mini card blanks I bought I have spent a very happy afternoon making 13 mini art deco cards from scraps and leftovers, peel offs, gems etc, so I am very happy :)
  • I am on a roll........loads and loads (about 40) mini cards made from scraps and leftovers, and loads of ATCs done. No idea what to do with the ATCs but I'm thinking of using them as toppers for cards.

I have had a wonderful crafting day. :)
