    Just finished sewing squares together
    https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/b0/a8/b7/b0a8b75afd41ba8871355c4f1fc409ea.jpg
Need to put the wadding and backing on now then bind the edges and do all the hand quilting of the individual squares.

Mrs M this is absolutely amazing and so much work has gone into it.

    Another quick update

    16 more basic cards

    https://www.facebook.com/christine.lockley.3/posts/10208320052896000

Lots of scraps used and now have a big dish of shapes - stars, elephants, birds, hearts, butterflies - all punched from scarps of paper and used coloured envelopes so that has made quite a bit of space in one drawer. Whilst sorting have discovered that I have over 200 card blanks :o

I need to pick a new target too.

Keep up the great work everyone, night x

What a lovely selection of cards. I am sure you will quickly use up the card blanks at that rate of making cards :D

    Hi all,

It's great to see everyone busy stash busting and all your creations are fab! Well done everyone :)

Rosie51 - I remember from the previous thread you working on that bunting :)

ziggy - welcome. I love all your creations :)

kit1 - you can also print similar tiles here http://www.fuzzimo.com/free-hi-res-wooden-scrabble-letter-tiles/#more-1357.
I have an old craft robo machine which I like but don't use anywhere near as much as my manual die cutters, the big shot and grand
    calibur.

ms moneypenny - that quilt is amazing. I can only dream of having sewing skills like yours :)

    bubblesmum - welcome :)

nimbo - I LOVE bunting and you have inspired me to make some more :) I might even make up a few kits to sell on my craft stall for the lesser mortals with hardly any craft stash :) As for dusting - your far too busy stash busting. That's way more important and so much more fun :)

kitty - you are forgiven :)

winspiration - welcome. I have thought about making some Christmas cards too :)

DuranGirl - love the cross stitches. I wish I could cross stitch :)

    evuka - welcome :)

I think I have finally managed to add all participants so far but I have not updated your totals. Could you please let me know so that I can update all our progress on the first page.

    Thanks

    I'm declaring another 8 makes.
3 x valentine days cards(one for hubby and each of my kids)
3 sets of shaped crayons and
2 x receipe holders made from large binder clips which have been in my stash for ages :)

That takes me to 84/2016 - a long way to go yet but at least I have not added to my stash since this challenge began :)

  • Thank you for the lovely kind comments about the quilt squares, I must be honest. In time bc (before children) I was a fully trained sample machinist at a rather prestigious ladies clothing factory. So I was well taught
I do love sewing and don't get my machine out often enough so this has been a labour of love reintroducing me and my machine to each other as I have neglected it for a while.

So that is me 20/52. Almost half way there already ;)

I also used up another kit from a magazine but to be honest the stamps were rubbish and the inks were poor so I binned it. Magazine was not up to much either so I tore out a couple of pages to keep for reference and then binned the magazine so that is another one gone as well.

I have managed to whip up a valintines card and a giant bow for my partners prezzie.

Been feeling full of cold today so stayed in and felt sorry for myself. MIGHT have forgotten it's v day tomorrow and I apparantly said if I didn't at least get a card I would be miffed. Can't argue. It does sound like I would say that. So when he went to bed I had to quickly whip up a cross stitch card - just a simple heart but on the tiniest fabric scrap (I'm not a cross stitcher) and wrapped some aftershave I got in the sale up. I may have over compensated for forgetting with a giant bow - but I used meters of ribbon so counting it as a complete item. Haha

    My total is now 57 / 500

Ps I'm glad you're all inspired to make bunting. It was a rewarding experience. It's been on the list for ages. I even hung it and dusted the dresser (well the top half any way haha )

I will remember my Flickr password so I can post pics.

That quilt is spectacular. And huge. And did I mention spectacular?

Well done to everyone with their latest makes.
Craftingmad- amazing you remember so far back, seem to take an age with the bunting but it was double sided. It was passed on to someone else for a party and is as far as i know still doing the rounds. Although i say it myself it was very well made and much better then some bunting i see on sale.
I got my latest copy of Quilt Now through the post this week how i love this magazine. Inside their on page 42 was Petula Lark the mod chick just waiting to be made. Just completed her as a gift for hubby. To old for a real hot chick but miss Lark will fit the bill, has a 60s poncho, John Lennon style hat and kinky white boots.
    Total makes from stash 20.
