I'd like to join in too, please! I have a few mountains of stash that definitely need using up and I've barely made a scratch in it so far this year. I'll set myself a target of 100 makes for the year.

My main stash is for papercrafting. I also got the pocket scrapbooking bug a couple of years ago and bought a vast quantity of cards before realising that actually I could have made them myself from my stash, duh! Having said that, I do find it a much easier way of scrapping and have produced one complete and one almost complete album. I also have a weakness for Anna Griffin products.

I used to knit and have a ginormous yarn stash too. Might have to wait till I retire to get back into that though - my SIL hints every winter that she would like a new jumper to replace the Kaffe Fassett inspired one that I knitted for her about 20 years ago - although it is actually still going strong.

I've been working on a huge needlepoint rug since 2002 :o I suspect when I do eventually finish it, it will be destined for a wallhanging rather than a rug - either that or I'll have to make a mini picket fence for it as I won't want anyone actually walking on it :rotfl:

Anyway, so far this year I've made a grand total of 3 makes, all in the last few days. A couple of valentines:

The second is actually the nicer looking one, but awful photo as I had to take it at night.

I also made a pile of card backed A4 magnetic sheets for die storage, which I'll count as one make:

Hi Craftstasher, I'd like to join please!

Sounds like the place for me as I also get sooo much kick out of buying craft supplies but being naughty on using them up :p

This year I'm simplifying my life and try to move towards minimalism so that I'll have more time to dedicate to hobbies and hopefully I can learn some new craft techniques.

I mainly decorate my planner with washi and stickers and do embroidery (kalocsa style) but like to add card making, scrapbooking/art journalling and some sewing and crocheting and who-knows-what-else. Planning to make a full set of Christmas decoration for this year as well.

I think I'm going to set myself for a low 12 makings as a goal.

Lots of great projects :j well done!

Today I decided to start using up my pile of felt by sewing some toy food so I am 5 sheets down. I currently have plans to make a few more things too so that should reduce the felt even more :D

Also crocheting another shawl which is chewing up the yarn at quite a pace.

Hello and welcome, winspiration and evuka.

My my, hasn't everyone been busy!

Lovely card ideas from winspiration and ziggy.

Imaginative use of stash by winspiration, mrs-m and ziggy.

I think I'll have to make one of those card holders, mrs-m, if I can find the time in between what I already have on the go - I've certainly got the stash!

    Happy crafting!

    Morning all,
Well done to everyone with their makes, can report another make from my stash, an apron that i made from a lovely piece of bright yellow cotton fabric i have had for years. That's my tally up to 19/200. My makes are rather hit and miss as i only decide what to make at the last minute, suppose that's the fun of being a sewer.
Aiming to start my spring/summer wardrobe this month, to include at least 6 casual tops, 3 blouses, 6 skirts, 4 dresses, 3 trousers or capri pants. Maybe a bit over the top but we will see.I aim not to buy anything other then essentials like undies, tights, footwear etc. I should be able to make my entire wardrobe from my stash. Many years go as young mum and little money [married to a poorly paid soldier] i made all my clothes and my 2 children's clothes. People could never understand how well we were dressed when we had so little money. I remember showing my friend my little girls wardrobe and my friend face at how many dresses their was hung up, i think we counted 40. These we the days you could pick up fabric for 25p a meter. We lived in Germany for about 6 years and when i came back to England to settle as we had bought our first years our belongings that arrived at our new house included 20 large tea chests of fabric, it was so cheap to buy in Germany at that time [1980s] those were the days. Sorry for rambling all due to my age and not being able to sleep.

    Hi all

Loving all the new makes. I love the diversity of the things we are making from cards for the chinese new year, fossil boxes, pictures to crocheted beards :rotfl:. Never thought I would see that in print it has to be said.

I had a fairly productive weekend and used up another kit in my stash from Papercraft Inspirations magazine. I made three cards in total and another three flowers for future use. I didn't put any greetings on as I felt they could be used for a variety of occasions and thought I would just add in the sentiments when I knew which one I was going to use for what - if that makes sense.

So that now puts my total to 16 makes and 2 kits used. I also made a couple of other cards but will post them after the weekend when I have given them to the recipients.
