    Hi poppy
Minihauk how about omelettes with different fillings to suit their different diets.
    Minimising more dirt today :(
Make do/mend..last year I got rid of the blackout blind in my bedroom as it had gone mouldy and since the lighter morning have been coming in I've been woken up earlier and earlier so instead of buying a new blind or blackout linings I have hung a second pair of curtains inside the ones that are up so fingers crossed that helps.
We just heard today that the firm my DH works for will be paying off offshore staff in the next few months we are hoping his job will be safe as he's been there a long time but also know that's not always how it works. Unfortunately with the way the offshore industry is just now there's really no chance of a job with another company so some very serious MMMing is going to have to be done here.

    Good morning all.

I've been reading along, but not posting as been busy.

I am hosting three students next week and would welcome some help from you all with recipes as one is vegetarian, one is coeliac and the last one "should" eat anything. I really don't want to have to cook three different meals each day, and have to supply lunches too. Salads for lunch should be ok, but I am really stuck for ideas (apart from JackieO's chickpea recipe which should be ok for all three!)

    Help please?

    Thanks :o

How about jacket potatoes with assorted fillings, mixed bean type chilli, (bbc good food vegetarian chilli), crustless quiche made in a glass dish in the oven, cous cous salads.

I've frozen double cream and clotted cream when they have been YS so an unexpected purchase so long as the cream has a fat content of over 35% it freezes well, don't forget it will expand.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

    Thank you both, great ideas!

Lollyfin - I have a couple of lightweight fleece blankets pinned to the inside of my bedroom curtains - keep draughts and light out.

Hello Poppy and welcome I do hope you'll carry on posting, we all have things to offer.

Mini I would go down the veggie route for menu's.
Veggie Chilli, Spanish Omlette adding mixed veg, you can get egg pasta and do a pasta bake ask if your veggie will eat tuna otherwise leave it out. Good old egg and chips, baked beans are gluten free too. Veg curry with rice. Jacket potato with a filling eg baked beans and topped with cheese, salad to pad it out.
If you do veggie and if you don't add flour and watch the oils you cook with then it will make life easier for you.
Why pay full price when you may get it YS ;)

(from Candygirl who PM'd me the recipe) and I just threw a few things extra in that I had at the bottom of my fridge)

<Quote from Candygirl> I just fry an onion with a tsp of minced garlic n chilli, then add a tin of chopped tomatoes, a couple of spuds, n a tinof chick , peas n a 2 tblsps of garam masala or curry powder n simmer.it works for me, but you might need to add or reduce seasoning xxx>>

I also chucked several odds and ends from the spice and herb rack in as well and a good dollop of chilli sauce. It was delicious and spicy (very warming on a cold night ) :):):)
Glad you liked it hun, I've made it tonight, n chucked peas, celery n chilli flakes in as well.nom noms :p

    A bit more MMMing today:

Craft drawer has been reorganised, some junk thrown out and some excess knitting needles and crochet hooks put aside to take to the charity shop.

Lunch was leftover chicken enchiladas from last night, yum!

Gave my old trainers a good clean and a new pair of insoles. Just need a new pair of laces and they'll look practically decent again. I've been using them to walk the dog so they were caked in mud.
