Haven't been posting for a while but have read posts. Well done mavvy!

On the clothes buying front - I actually splashed out & bought a jacket from Barbour for me, but when I tried it on at home & in the cold light of day...I didnt like it (no spark joy). So that is going back today and I am back on the hunt for a summer Barbour style jacket. Might try their kids section & see if that works better for me instead.

    Hope all are well.

1 x Lk Bennett silk dress BNWT RRP £225
1 x Lk Bennett maxi dress new no tags
1 x Lk Bennett wedge shoes with tiny hand painted Red tulips :D My size and like new
    both dresses were £8.50 each:T:T
    shoes £8 :T:T

In my favorite charity shop. I love the lady who donates here I am always thrilled when I spot an Lk bennett as I know she is my size on everything.
But she must have more money than sense which I am happy about ;)

Nobody can slap my wrists on these as they are a bargain and I couldnt leave them there.

Mavvy you jammy so & so!! I recently bought a navy blue floral LK Bennet coat for DS2s wedding in September on the bay of E, to wear over a Jigsaw lace dress, and I love it!

Mavvy well done you on the sale, wow, next time they will be queuing right down the street :j

ScotinLondon good on you for realising the jacket didn't spark joy :)

Floss your wedding outfit sounds lovely.

Parsniphead onwards and upwards. Keep going, you can do it. :j

Nothing else here to report, I've been too busy helping my daughter prepare for house move. I'm off on a little 'glamping' retreat at the weekend, so send me some good weather vibes please

Mavvymoo you are the Queen of bargains. We are in awe of you.

Sounds like the sale was amazing and I wish I could come to the 30th July one. Keep posting the dates please, as if I can come, I will! Sounds like its worth the drive, and would be lovely to meet you!

Everyone is still doing amazingly well at really thinking through their purchases. I did lose it a little at the sale at work, but I promise you I would have bought more in the past - its a bit manic and you grab things because they are cheap, and sometimes you know they will probably be too small but you buy them anyway (I am ashamed to say). So I got a leather jacket for £15, some dungarees for £5, and a denim jacket for £10. The combined cost of those things would have been around £470 in the shops. I am not sure I should be rocking the dungarees really, just because I can get them on doesnt mean they look good, but I am going to test them out on the weekend at home... I didnt really need the leather jacket either, but I was so excited to find one that fitted that I got it anyway. Naughty Vintagegal...
And now it doesnt sound that cheap next to Mavvymoos bargains.

Its my birthday at the weekend and after that I am determined to go back to NO MORE SHOPPING for a while. My budget is bust. I need to make time to do some sewing, because that means FREE DRESSES. I am also going to sew some patches on my new denim jacket and embroider on it too. I already have lots of embroidery thread so no cost involved. Also need to DO SOME IRONING because then I might be able to see what I have!

vintagegal You would be more than welcome to come ;)
It would please you to know that before coming across the Lk bennett I went in about 6 charity shops moaning as they had really awful overpriced carp in them :rotfl:Thinking to myself vinagegal would be pleased to know this ;)

The clothes sale sounds great and great prices too. Dont think I would ever wear dungarees But a friend of mine always wears them and loves them. Personally I think they look bloody terrible :rotfl:But hey ho Im not wearing them and each to their own.

But I have seen people who look fantastic in them so I will hope you are one of those people.I am sure you are and if not they will be great for all the decorating you are going to do and cheaper than them coverall thingys as well.;)
So either way I would say a very good buy :D

Ha ha mavvymoo, I AM pleased to know that in your town, the bargains still have to be searched for! I need to build up your perseverance though. I think part of the problem is that where I am, there arent loads of charity shops all together I don't think. So to go in six would mean traipsing across different parts of town... and I'm a lazy online shopper!

I'm fairly sure I look terrible in the dungarees but you have made an excellent point about the decorating... I don't know what I thought I was going to wear to do it but pretty much all I own are fifties style dresses with huge skirts, so you can imagine me up a ladder in one of those :rotfl:

Vintagegal think Doris Day with your dungarees - hair tied up in headscarf (to keep paint off it!), ankles rolled up a little & plimsolls, still glam but practical for your decorating :D

I'd better keep saving so I can afford to do it, now that I have the outfit ready!
