Just back from my jolly Hollys in Devon and have to admit a bit of a splurge before I went.
Had a day out with a couple of friends before I went and did a fun trawl of the charity shops.
Ended up with some Phase Eight light blue crop trousers, a navy mint velvet cardi, white stuff tunic, 2 new scarfs (one white stuff) and a new white t shirt. :D came to £35 but I thought that wasn't bad for some things to brighten my summer wardrobe.

Big confession though - I have sold loads of stuff on Fleabay and decided to just use that to buy new things and not take off my total. I'm thinking of it as clothes swapping
Got 2 new Masai tops and a Masai cardi, some White Stuff plimsoles and some Boden linen trousers that I wore on holiday.

Just caught up on all your posts. Funbrum there is a post by Martin on the main site about wording your Ebay sales to make them sell. I'd never done it before I joined this thread - Mavvymoo advised me well and now I'm addicted to it. It has really helped me get rid of the so-so things in my wardrobe (you know what I mean, they cost a lot or don't quite fit but might at some time, etc).

Love the idea of the road trip :j
I'm certainly fascinated to see these top class charity shops!

I'm going to have a big sort out at the weekend and weather permitting, do the dreaded carboot sale. I know I will be pleased with the extra space and the money but all I can think about at the moment is the mammoth effort of sorting it all out and getting it in the car! Also have to buy a pasting table as noone seems to have one. Oh well, it will be useful for the lounge refurb when I have saved enough pennies!

Hope you are all having a good week. Rowan Moon I like the 'clothes swapping' theory!

    Hello all :D
Glad you enjoyed your holidays Rowanmoon next time hopefully you will come my way to join the 'Road trip' :rotfl:Glad I trained you well in Eb*y land and you are making a few quid and spending on joy bringing items ;)

Good news on E*ay up to £250 in sales ;) But some of mine has been spent on not so joy bringing items like dog food.:D But such is life ;)

I have got a really good thing going with my favorite Chazzer which I will fill you in on soon. As I dont have a lot of time at the moment as I have my DS and DIL turning up soon for the weekend and I am still lazing in my dressing grown (which is pretty gotty) by the way. :D

Take care and have a good weekend all of you.

kerri GT I am debating some more Tikiboo leggings :D What do you think of the monocrome range ? Or are they too boring do you reckon ;) I blame you for my addiction :rotfl:

Cheers Mavvymoo for your advise, and well done for selling so much!
I will certainly check that out Rowen moon thank you.

I went to a well known sports shop and bought my son some gear but didn't spend on myself! I didn't even look at the ladies section, and so proud of myself!
I also went to a few chazza shops yesterday which is usually a huge temptation for me, but walked straight past the clothes rails and on to the toys. I had my granddaughter me and she was eager to spend her pocket money! :)
I keep visualising my many clothes and keep repeating in my head, 'you have enough'! This mantra seems to be working!
Hoping to keep my meagre budget in control.

Off on holiday tomorrow !! Bought a couple of tops from the CS to complement my holiday wardrobe - a nice shirt from FatFace & a plain and extremely versatile brown ruched top from M&S. (£7.48 to add). Neither of them stunning in themselves or massive bargains but they allow me to wear some lovely items that I already have in my wardrobe.

Tried on a gorgeous pair of Fly London sandals (£3.50) in CS & just before I bought them I saw that there was a crack in the cork wedge which I know from experience can mean a broken wedge (& possibly ankle) :( . They were perfect for what I need - liked them so much I've looked for them new on-line but they're all out of stock.... :(

Still can't make up my mind whether to keep the Mint Velvet poncho ...

Have a great week all.... :)

Sometimes that is a "no" - if you don't love it, and it isn't a good fit in your wardrobe, its not necessarily a keeper...

Hello late to join (as always) Can I join in.
My crazy clothes challenge is nil for the year. I have enough socks and pants etc and should get another year out of my boots. (Although may need stitching for the winter)
I also go to a clothes swap shop so hopefully will get something nice there. I have sorted out my wardrobe but will go through it again, And I am rediscovering clothes and making myself wear them instead of being lazy and just grabbing what is not needing ironing!
I bought a dress and 2 tops this month £12 for the 3 one top isn't great so may see if I can adjust it. I can also knit and sew , so I will attempt to make myself another summer dress.
Anyway see you soon, Have a great week

Don't go blaming me ;):p I must admit the monochrome aren't my fav range Tikiboo does, but don't let me put you off. I am deff still in the 'so bright you can see me from space' sportswear camp ATM, but if you like them, go for them :)

Not a poncho, but my mum bought me an Aztec style wrap for Xmas, I wouldn't have chosen it but kept it as she chose it for me...best thing ever. I used it loads to wrap round when I was on holiday and the evenings got nippy. It's bigger than a scarf so better to wrap up in, poncho could be the same kind of investment....sorry....shouldn't encourage you :o:o

No spends here, oh, actually I did get a new pair of Ugg boots on holiday, my original pair I bought in NY in 2008 are nearly flat at the sole and getting very slippy when wet, I paid about £60 them at the time with the FX rate. New pair worked out at £75 which I think is ok for a pair of Uggs.

I have a wrap that my mum bought to wear at my dads funeral in 1991...she didn't wear it much ad I kept it when mum died in 2005. It is THE most useful thing I have - great for traveling, ideal for cooler evenings in the summer, and perfect when in DHs car as he prefers it cool when driving!
