lexbubbles - what a pain about those boots - literally.

vintagegal - I think we all fall foul of comfort shopping.

I have completed my first day at my new job - I wore a plain black pencil skirt (ebay), a hot pink long sleeved top from Long Tall Sally (already owned) and a H&M black round neck cardigan (ebay). It all looked very office appropriate and I was comfortable in it all too.

I am now in my running gear which is even more comfy - I am going to brave the freezing wind in a bit.

Well done, glad you felt comfortable in what you wore and hope your first day went well.

Best of luck with the run - I clocked up 8-9miles yesterday, was flipping windy for part of it - like scene from Watership Down up a hill

Perhaps we should rename it 'The Crazy Clothes and Runners Challenge' Mav :rotfl:

I have a 6 miler planned for tomorrow morning

Flipping leggings still haven't shipped from China - at this rate it will be summer and I'll be wanting shorts  Apparently they have a backlog due to Chinese New Year.

I'm generally managing not to spend by staying away from the shops - our food cupboard is testament to that too atm as its looking a bit empty

Yes, just tell them at the till how much you want to redeem or use the self-service, select 'redeem Nectar points' and touch the amount you want to redeem.

Minimum redemption is £2.50 (500 points.) You can only redeem points in £2.50/500 point multiples.

Thank you. That's very helpful. :T

    Good idea kerri
Maybe we could set our budget as £1 for every mile we run :rotfl:So if we up the budget we need to up the miles.

Those leggings are on Eb*y from a UK seller who got theirs before the Chinese new year ;)

Got to go into town again today so I will close my eyes and run past the shops :D

  • Only a few days of the month left. Well done to those who have stayed within budget or had no spends at all.

I've actually managed 14 no spend days this month so far, and not a penny on clothes yet. We're off to see friends from Canada this Saturday and there will be shops involved. Need to get some vests and pjs for the wee man and will try hard to resist getting for myself too!

I know that this is a bit late, but may I join?

My budget for the whole year (inc Jan & Feb) is £400.

I only need a few items clothes wise (nice spring/summer jacket) and a pair of boots (am a v small size and they don't normally come in the sale). Otherwise, I will be having a clear out of clothes that I don't wear anymore to keep my focus on trying not to spend unless absolutely necessary.

Hopefully won't spend much this year.

    Thanks

    SIL
  • Okay the good news is, I found a pair of boots.

The bad news is, they're £25

If I get them in March, I'll already be £6.47 over budget. April set at £13.53 in order to catch up.
