I never saw that about the bras kerri how crazy it really makes you think
Next jeans I am quite tall always have to buy long or extra long in them and I am also high waisted so maybe that why they work for me and primark dont :rotfl:
I have decided for every month I dont spend on clothes I am going to put £100 in a savings account for next years challenge
I am aiming at £500 so 5 months no spending
So lets see how I get on

And talking of primark... has anyone else noticed how suddenly their socks are shocking quality!?! I threw a pair away yesterday I had for Christmas hole right through the toe! And a pair of dark coloured ones practically see through! Their socks used to be as good as anywhere else
sad times. Though does stop me from just buying more because I can't find a clean pair lol

That's a shame, I have socks from there that have lasted years. I did notice some seem to be some thin shiny material these days, wouldn't want to risk putting them on a hot radiator for fear of melting
I bought some trainer socks from H&M a while back before on a whim - well, not so much of a whim, my previous ones were at least about 3yrs old and at that stage where they were a little 'crunchy' after a washThey are really comfortable and so far, worn well. Well see how well once I get back into running training proper - but so far, so good.

I never even go in Primark I just hate it
But saying that sometimes I see nice things in the Chazzers look at the label and yes you guessed it Primark :rotfl:But I would never buy it as its normally higher priced then when it was new
dolly I am just not going to look at the relisted shoes so that should help :rotfl:and I have taken them off my watch list
I think if I crack this early in the year I might as well give up. I have the willpower at the moment and long may it last.

Good morning! I'd like to join in this challenge if I can please? I've no idea how much I spend in a year on clothes for myself but a combination of just having ordered some the other day (some will definitely go back), losing weight, and hopefully a new job this year will mean I'll have to buy some at some point! I'd maybe set myself at £500 to see how this goes.

That's a good idea Mavvymoo!:T
I'm having a dilemma. I need hoodie/fleece for when I'm on my long walks. Casual jackets don't cut it with trainers and joggers. Any ideas folks? I have nothing to spend:(Living a frugal retirement without treading on the planet :T

7 bras bought on line and not one fits ...returning the lot.
Cardigans to fill wardrobe gap bought on line - and - neither sparks joy (Just read MK and decluttering) so both being returned.
Allowance remains unspentMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Hi
May I join with a budget of £500 please?
The main reason I got into debt was buying clothes and make up that I didn't need - even bought 3 pairs of the same jeans as I didn't realise I already had them but never took them back to the shop
This challenge will definitely tame my spending and keep me focused on my DFD :j0 -
I saw that programme too - the same it true for bras as well btw, in the fact they use the same process and moulds whether its a £2 primark or a £200 la perla one.
I absolutely love Primark bras. All of mine are from there. They fit me fantastically and are only like £5-8 a pop. Also means I don't feel bad about cycling them out every 6 months because I got bored of them (or, quite often, because the underwire came out. I'm far too lazy to hand-wash my undies okay)Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100

Maybe something in the clearance at Mountain Warehouse? They've got some fleeces on clearance at £2.99 on their website (postage is extra, but they do have stores - there's an outlet in my local garden centre.)Money made on etsy in April: £0
Money made on ebay in April: £00 -
I do this and I do keep my clothes elsewhere but I find that every season I do get rid of them as it becomes obvious that some of the clothes just won't ever make it into my project 333 capsules! I find it better than just sending them all to the charity shop and then ending up buying too much to compensate!
Have checked out Project 333 and looks really interesting. I think joining a few stash busting challenges might help with the hoarding. I think I'll give myself the week to sell off my old clothes and then take a looksie.0
