tatabubbly, many congratulations a new year and a new baby how marvellous. I have seven grandchildren ,from 11 -25 and I am hoping at some point I will have a great-grandchild, as I cannot wait to start knitting stuff, and a new baby is just so lovely. My youngest DD is 46 and the other one is 48 so no chance of any more grandchildren from them :).

My eldest grandson (25) is far too busy enjoying the life of Riley with his G/f to think about babies. I was married 6 years by his age and a Mum of two :):):) different life back then

Given my hatred of the phrase "must have", I very much liked this blog post

Day 12/366 Another nsd. After work I caught up on a DVD whilst doing the ironing and have just been out for a short run. Still finding bits of my own to declutter for this up and coming jumble at the weekend. I am not a hoarder but am always amazed at what I still find to move on. Have just booked tickets to see "Suffragette" with a friend- rather than line the pockets of the big boys if I do decide to see a film I prefer to do so at the travelling cinema which visits the local villages. not only is it cheaper but there's a raffle for charity.

Dd4y told the teacher that she had new pink boots 'from the shop!' The teacher just enjoyed the story, but I knew dd was telling it because we never go to a shop, especially not with kids. Clothes and shoes are stored in the attic, several sizes up, and sm shopping I do on my own. I take a list, but if something on the list is not available, I have to think of replacements, and I cannot do that with kids in tow. If I have to go shopping for other items, e.g. my clothes (it happens....) or household stuff, I also go on my own, in order to run in and out the required shops. The moment I have to slow down, I want to scream, throw things, and run home.
