Great thread, I'm in.
1. Lose 5 kilos and keep it off.
2. Start running again, minimum 20 mins 3x a week.
3. De-clutter and 'stage' house to sell it.
4. Do not by anything above absolute necessaries
5. Manage move and settling back in to UK in summer
6. Start to look for a job or training.
7. Throughout this try to manage anxiety with mindfulness, diet exercise rather than having a nevous breakdown!!
That's Enough to be going on with I think!!
I remember this!!
actually I've done OK on these resolutions.
1. I lost 3 kilos so far
2. No running but I have taken up spinning
3. Managed to declutter the house, and sold it for a really good price so very pleased there
4. Mmmm, have had some treats
5. we are all moved back to the UK and settled in well.
6. this is for 2017
7. well, I was anxious quite a lot of the time but managed to keep most of it under control!
So, all in all I did OK and it's great to see how others have got on.Trying to keep in budget.

It has been a good year. Lots still going on but I'm at a better point than this time last year.I recently read the updated 2015 thread and was inspired so..
I have a major operation to face next year and need to loose two stone to make my recovery quicker - so diet starts tomorrow! Lost a stone after the Op and feel much better.
My alcohol consumption has gone beyond safe levels so I want to cut that down to weekends only. Managed this for a while and felt amazing so want to pick up again in the new year
I recently bought a fitbit and it has really made me increase my steps - so New Years Resolution is to make every day a 10k day Smashed it! Average 15k per day! But have develped tendonitis in my feet - 0uch:mad:
Here's to a great 2016!0 -

My biggest goal this year is to become more intentional again. I feel like I spent the end of last year running around chasing my tail. The house was chaos, work was chaos and by Christmas I felt exhausted and ended up giving my worst energy to the people I care for the most. That's partly why I put off writing this til now, feeling the need to stop and actually think. I also realised that a lot of the things I've stopped doing are things that give me pleasure and I need to take responsibility for talking negatively to myself about things that I know really do make me happier underneath it all.
Anyway the specifics are:
Improve my time management
- Allocate time to myself and don't feel guilty about it Yes when I have enough time but that's not when I most need it and this has not been possible the last 3 months
- Resist the gravitational pull of sitting in front of the TV after work (which I don't even enjoy that much) Definitely better at this
- Be very aware of time wasting at work and keep improving my work life balance Improved but work to do
- Set expectations and take control of how much I let other people derail me at work (refuse to do other people's jobs for them) Again better at this, I've managed to hand off significant work elements but it's a constant struggle holding to it
- Be aware of directing energy towards those who need it and those who recharge my batteries rather than those who demand from me and drain me. Not so good at tihs still
- Spend time with family and friends and enjoy this time Getting better at this
- Make time to notice the good stuff and to be grateful for it Not so great at this
(and hopefully lose a little weight!)- Walk at least 12k steps a day every day Managed this most of the year but not so good last few months
- Get to bed on time (by 10.30) and read rather than surf more often than not, yes
- Work towards calmness rather than stress hmmm
- Go to the gym at least once a week and yoga at least twice a week I did the yoga
and also signed up for a few other classes which I went to most of the time - Eat healthfully - with a focus on good fats, vegetables and protein Badly as well as healthily, not so good on the veg
- Be very aware of keeping my intake of sugar low - especially alcohol! Totally gone to pot the last month or two but ok the rest of the year
- Get back on top of my finances and create a budget (household and personal) nope
- Be very aware of my spending - plan for bigger budget items nope
- Cut grocery spending and eat out less managed the eating out less, not so good on the grocery spending...
- Do a little longer term housework every day no
- Tidy up before going to bed Mostly
- Don't let clutter gather up mostly
also DH started doing more which is great
So a mixed year in some ways, I certainly didn't manage to lose any weight (might have put some on
) It has been a tough year in a lot of ways, I did a lot of travelling up until quite recently and then realised it was having a huge impact on my health and wellbeing so pulled back. But I've had a few personal struggles since then and have not been feeling overly happy, partly leading to drinking more than is really good for me and definitely not being intentional. I've also gone from having a lot of time to myself to having virtually none, and this has been a tricky transition as well. On the bright side I'm feeling more on top of things than I did this time last year.
I'm going to do this again next year but need a bit of time to think about what the plans are. I'll start a new thread in case anyone else is better organised than me. I like having that sense of accountability!

Lost a stone - still one to go so thats 2017 resolution no. 1. Op went well and that was the spur I needed to manage my health better.
My alcohol consumption has gone beyond safe levels so I want to cut that down to weekends only.
Took this in hand mid year following my op- slipped over Christmas but will be watching those units soon!
I recently bought a fitbit and it has really made me increase my steps - so New Years Resolution is to make every day a 10k day
SMASHED IT! Average 15k a day - however have had two sets of physio for foot problems generated from the mileage .
Here's to a great 2016!
Planning for 2017 - a year full of special events

joining in this year
so I would like to
1 spend more time outside, whatever the weather. I am easily put off by the weather but if I actually go out I do enjoy it so want to try to get out everyday.
2 Continue the jobsearch, if nothing happens consider volunteering to boost confidence
3 Enjoy the year spending time with family
4 Sort out getting some chickens for the allotment.
1 Well I have a handy walks in cornwall book and we actually managed to go on one today, although the weather was lovely. The weather still does put me off so still need to work on this.
2 Managed to get a fab job in June but it was so far away, had to leave in favour of a different offer at the school, so doing breakfast club atm and only doing term times is a huge plus. Also training to volunteer so my CV is looking alot better.
3 I would say I was too busy stressing about the job situation the first half of the year, working too much during the summer hols but this is better now my jobs at the school so should be better this year.
4 Done in february, 4 ex batts who are now having a lovely retirement and look so healthy and vibrant compared to when they came to us. Poor things having to be kept covered at the moment.0 -

* Get my savings up to 10k Almost! But bought a new car so this ate into 4k of this
* Eat more protein - a SMART target would be for me to eat either eggs or fish each day as a minimum! Ok, not every day.Did my best!
* Walk 5 times a week for 30 mins. Maybe more like 20 mins at a time
* Sort out and tidy house so it's minimalist and easy to keep clean and tidy! Finally yes! A lot of decluttering later!!!
* Would love to conceive - there is a bump in the road as far as that is concerned so hoping 2016 sheds light on what we can do to ease things along! After two operations and IVF, we are expecting twins
Good luck!
Whoops I am a bit late back to the party!!!!! Didn't do too badly - well done all!:rotfl:0
