Good to see you posting ellsbel.

It's a lovely day here. It seems so unfair when yesterday's Bank Holiday was cold and miserable.

We're off to have lunch at a French restaurant in the country so benefit of a nice meal in good company and a pleasant country drive too. So I have to get fabbed up for that!:D

I'm going to wear my black pencil skirt with the green chiffon blouse and heels. As it's warming up I'm thinking of my Jack Wills black velvet jacket rather than a coat.

I'm not a complete lady of leisure though as a lineful of washing is also done!:rotfl:

Not at all fabbed here yet, 0900 appt with Osteopath, so ablutions done and wearing trackie bottoms and polo shirt. Hair needs washing, but cannot manage to blow dry it that early in the day (unless I rise at the crack of dawn do do exercises and get everything moving, happy to do this sometimes, but not today.)

The Osteopath I was seeing has left the practice and I now see the senior one, she seems to be more of a holistic healer as well as the manipulation and since I saw her last week had mugged up on the condition I am diagnosed with. It was a good session, so home for late breakfast, via T*sco for some fresh fruit, fresh soup (I know I should make some, but cannot be bothered boiling chicken up), fish for supper and a little naughty treat of Creme Brulee (need to up my calories:D)

For the rest of the day I think it will be lunch, shower and hair wash, dressed and made up and a foray into town with the CS donation and a mooch around. Haven't been in for several days as the Mayfair means the whole centre is closed off to traffic (it is a marvel how they get those huge fairground lorries through the tiny streets), as the rides and stalls are right in front of the shop fronts:eek::eek: a lot of the shops close at lunchtime and there are no markets for 5 days.

Maman - your day sounds lovely, I hope that you have a great time.

Ellsbell - I have wondered about trying coconut oil on my hair which is quite fine and easily weighed down, but not done it yet.

LL - pleased that you had a great visit to your friend (in spite of the weather) I hope that you have recovered now.

Take care and keep fabbing.... everyone.

Hope you had a nice meal maman, your outfit sounds very chic; appropriate for a French restaurant :)
Glad you had a good osteo session maddiemay. Hope the rest of your day was pleasant.
Lingering a bit over my coffee(s!) this morning but will have a nice bath in a bit, put on my lotions and potions and find something casual but acceptable to wear for a long stroll in the sun.
I bought a few summer tops yesterday, some tapered chinos and boat shoes for a smart casual summer look but I'm going to have another try on of them all today and possibly take them all back! They're ok, but they don't make me feel particularly joyful!
    Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

    Good morning,

I am so happy to see the sun today, so I am in a very cheerful mood. I am back on the healthy eating bandwagon which is also good, I've started having a smoothie for breakfast as I'm not a great eater of fruit and the fridge is full of gorgeous looking veg which is very inspiring.

I managed to get another top from the charity shop yesterday which fits in perfectly with the other things I've bought recently. feeling good.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Good Morning everyone

    Wahoo. Sunshine at last. :rotfl:

Crazy busy here. DILS family have arrived, took them for her dads suit fitting yesterday.

Registry office ceremony tomorrow, so a day of fabbing for me today. Brows, nails, de fuzzing, face mask etc.

Just a quick report on the er hem "little bit of work" on my face......

13 days since Botox. Crows feet round eyes, really softened. Brow furrows and creases also softened, three vertical lines between brows better but one really deep one could do with a bit of filler. I go back in a couple of weeks for a review so we will see what he suggests.

Verdict on Botox - really pleased - just enough to soften everything without giving me a frozen face or looking eerily smooth. The lines have not been eradicated but they are much softer. The eyelids have been very subtly lifted so less "hooded". I would say the overall effect is that I look rested rather than young. Just what I wanted.

The thread work - I am really pleased with this. My jawline seems firmer, fewer jowls and lose skin and the Big plus for me is my face is realigned and symmetrical.

Generally I would say I just look well. The effects are very subtle. I did not expect to suddenly look 30 again and I certainly wouldn't have wanted that. The fake Barbie look is definitely a no no in my books.

Having said that I have noticed a difference in how people are responding to me. Men are starting to pay more attention;) Yesterday a very attractive man was actually flirting with me at the men's sock display stand (I was looking for socks for DS2).:rotfl:

Whilst I am not looking for a new man I am vain enough to enjoy a bit of male attention and enjoy a little gentle flirting. :D

So overall - I am very pleased with everything. There is no dramatic change - I didn't want that but I definitely look and - perhaps more importantly - feel better.

I feel that the outside me now is a better reflection of the inside me.

It's DS2s 30th birthday this month, slap bang in the middle of all the wedding stuff and although he says he doesn't want a fuss I don't want him to miss out. Plus of course I didn't celebrate my 60th birthday or DS1s 30th. My husband died the week of Ds1s birthday so he missed out.

So........ I have just booked a family trip to see the Lion King in June. Should be fun. I certainly hope so - it's costing me an arm and a leg.:rotfl:

Hope you are all well, I am loving all your fabbing tales.

What a lovely way of summing it up.

If I lived near you I'd be making appointment with that practitioner, sounds like money very well spent.:T

I just looked up the BBC forecast for your city and it looks as if the sun will be shining on you all tomorrow.:j

I do hope everything goes really well for you all and you enjoy every minute. I'm sure you'll look fab!!

I've been to have the shellac off my nails today. Intended to have a manicure but my cuticles are fine so they just did a cut and shape. Starting tonight I'm going to be using cuticle oil, cream and buffing to get them super healthy. Nails are strong but a bit dry looking. I'll have shellac done again for my holiday.

Went into the city centre and bought various holiday bits. I've not tried any on yet but will report back. I also fancied some Fit Flops but at £75 I'm not sure. Anyone tried them?

I'm doing healthy too alex. Weather was glorious so I bought a salad from Pret a Manger and ate it in the sun.:)

Your day seems lovely, maman. I hope your holiday purchases are fab.

I had a fairly nice day. DS is off school, so I took DD to nursery, so I could have a break too. We went to see DN at a School sports event and then popped to town to go to the fruit market. It's been lovely to not have to wear a jacket.
  • I've been lurking for a while, I signed up last night and am currently working my way from the beginning of the thread up to the latest posts, ergo I haven't read the most recent posts.
What I like about this thread is that it is I will, rather than I won't (drink as much eat as much etc)

My short term goals - at least until I get to the end of the thread
    1. I will moisturise (hands and face) more often - at least 3X daily
    2. I will shower/wash my hair at least 3X weekly instead of thinking I can get away with lank, greasy tired hair 'cos I've only got work tomorrow
    3. I will compliment someone every day on their clothing, make up, shoes etc

And of course wear perfume every day!

I'm sure there's more and I will add to my list as I plow through the thread but my goal is I will rather than I will not.

    Let's see how it goes...
