I love reading all of your posts ladies, especially the long chatty ones. :)

I am still toning up from my work as a cleaner and losing inches from parts of my body. I am also eating a lot healthier. The money I used to spend on junk snacks like crisps, chocolate and sweets is now spent on huge amounts of fresh fruit. I am managing to have my 5 portions of fruit and/or vegetables every day more easily now and sometimes I have a lot more than 5 portions. I am eating a lot more salads and cooking more from scratch. My son and daughter are also eating more healthily as well as a consequence of my healthier shopping and cooking. It does take will power to initially stop eating junk snacks, but then I stop craving them within weeks. :j

I am going to the Theatre twice today with my daughter. We will be watching 'Round and Round the Garden at the Ashcroft Theatre at 2.30pm and then watching 'Ballet Black' at the Barbican at 7.30pm. I got 2 free tickets for the Ashcroft and my daughter bought the tickets for the Barbican, so a lovely day planned today. I will make the effort with painting my nails, minimal make up and layering my Red Door perfume and Red Door body cream cleanser, body powder and body lotion. I will decide later on my outfit. :T

I am still not managing to get 8 hours sleep very often, but when I do, it makes so much difference to my energy levels throughout the next day. I am hoping this will improve over the next few months. When I was unemployed, I could please myself as it did not matter so much then if I was having 8 hours sleep at night. I have to get out of my erratic sleep patterns and start having more sleep and rest.

    Good morning everyone.

Thanks for your well wishes. I feel a lot better today. Yes definitely the eggs I'm afraid. I can eat them now and again with no effects but not too often. So no eggs for a while now.........

Sugarbaby. Have a great day today, sounds like fun. And you are so right about getting enough sleep and rest. A good nights sleep makes So much difference.

I read somewhere that poor sleep can affect weight, making it harder to lose weight. And of course poor sleep really shows in our skin. I always look tons better after a full 8 hours, not that I get an Eight hour stretch very often.

I try to rest too, TBH I don't have a lot of choice - I still get energy slumps in the afternoon or early evening. Although that gets better as the evenings get lighter. Not long now until the clocks go forward. That makes a huge difference I find.

I think that next winter I will definitely try one of those SAD lights.

Have a great weekend everyone. Keeeep fabbing.

ll I'm pleased to you are feeling better.

I had a wedding yesterday and a party last night. I was dreading both, due to my weight, but I once I got dolled up yesterday, I realised I could still look good and its been a good incentive to loose weight.

    Hopefully, very true.:rotfl:

Chanie. Good for you. Amazing what a bit of fabbing can achieve and if it's spurred you on to staying in track then even better.

Hello lovely ladies, after several cheery sunny days we seem to be having a second dull and chilly one:(

Chanie - pleased that you felt good about yourself at the wedding, Spring is on the way and I always think that it is easier to let go of unwanted pounds when the days are longer and warmer, a built in comfort blanket for the cold, short and miserable days perhaps.

Sugarbaby - your theatre trips sound fab, hope that you and DD have a great time.

Rubyslippers - you are doing great on the weightloss and toning, don't fret too much about how long it is taking. I wish that there was not so much pressure about returning (hopefully) to pre-baby weight, your body needs to regain it's equilibrium and you have two little ones to recover from:D

Ellsbel - I hope that the niggles are behind you and that you have a good weekend to recover and that they are not around for the next week.

Maman - Your outfit for the dinner sounds lovely, your purchase of that blouse was inspired.

LL - Pleased that you are feeling better, great news about the holiday and the new clothes.

I also "lost" yesterday, I think blame must be laid at the door of the chocolate eclair that tempted me off the straight and narrow. I do admire those with food problems that are able to just forge ahead and not be tempted by the "bad stuff", I am OK for most of the time, but just now and then give way and pay the price:(. Still feeling fragile, but am getting some household stuff done in 15 minute bursts, still need to shower, hair wash and get a little fabbed though. Thank goodness it is just OH and me, with no pressures to be anywhere or look after any one:)

That sounds like a brilliant day sugarbaby. I really enjoy Alan Ayckbourn plays and I keep trying to persuade DH he'd enjoy ballet. Hope you have a really good time:).

I know what you mean about coats this winter LL. What I've worn most this year has been my short, biker style, quilted jacket. It's Craghoppers but it only cost £25 in TKMaxx and it's paid for itself over and over.

You're right Maddie, the green blouse has been a fantastic buy too. Considering I was only in Debenhams to have a hot snack on a freezing cold day and just happened to see it reduced. My pencil skirt was a bargain too, recommended on here in Hush sale.

I find it irritating that it's so difficult to buy a healthy snack when I'm out and about. Most places sell things like sandwiches or paninis or muffins or pasties or sausage rolls and even salads are suspect because many come drenched in dressing. That's why I'm pleased Debenhams does jacket potatoes and the tuna isn't mushed up with mayonnaise.

I've had my shower and done my hair. I'm going to have a light lunch and then do my food shop as didn't happen yesterday. I'm enjoying doing my make up since I discovered how easy it is to apply foundation with a brush for a light covering. I've added Aldi's Expert moisturiser to my shopping list too. I had to stop using it on my face as I think they must have changed the recipe and it made my eyes stream but it's brilliant as a neck cream as it's so rich. I'm trying to be a bit more frugal with my Benefit moisturiser as it cost 6 times the price of the Aldi one  so not using it on my neck is helping to eke it out.

Hope everyone has a good day:).

Hope you're feeling better today maddie
Good idea in using the cheaper cream on your neck maman - I'm nearing the end of the Elizabeth Arden cream I've been using - I think I'll eke out the next one by using E45 on my neck:)
Hope you're all having a good weekend; apologies in advance if my posting is a bit sporadic over the next couple of weeks; DS1 is home from uni today for Easter break, and DS2 breaks up this week, so Mum's cafe, laundry and Taxi service are about to get very busy:rotfl::rotfl:
Just having a quiet coffee and a browse of the newspapers before everyone gets up (brain fabbing!)
A trip to the garden centre and a bit of planting is planned today before cooking a roast later (watching my portion sizes!) I can't find my pedometer anywhere so I'll probably order a new one of those online today so I can track my daily steps - I'm tempted to go for a Fitbit but need to be sure it's worth splashing out on!
Enough drivel from me:D back soon x

    Good morning lovely ladies

I'm another one who uses up cheaper or unwanted creams on my neck - it's not quite as sensitive as my face so I can get away with it.

Maddie - hope you are feeling better. Tempremental tummies really are a nuisance. I'm feeling really fed up and frustrated at the moment with mine. I just can't seem to get it settled. I have a couple of days when I think I've cracked it and then I eat something that triggers something and then it's back to square one.

The main problem is I can't always identify the triggers. Hey ho, let's face it, it could be a lot worse. I am more fortunate than a lot of people.

The good news is I've lost another half pound this morning, which brings my weight loss since Tuesday to 3 lbs, so I have finally beaten that plateau I was stuck on. So hopefully I can maintain a steady weight loss now.

Beautiful day here so shall get out and about. Popping over to DS1s to supervise the tree pruning - a bit late in the season but I'm sure it will be ok.

Got a nice piece of beef in the slow cooker for tonight's dinner.

    Have a good day.

    Good morning everyone.

Just got back from holiday very early this morning. Had a great time, lots of exercise, beautiful views and fun company. However, also feeling somewhat bloated after all the white bread we got served and wanting to get fitter for my next trips so as of tomorrow I am on a mission to banish the belly and improve my cardio fitness once and for all.

In the meantime due to meet up with the chap I split up with last year later on today - just as friends. I was missing hanging out with him and spoke to him when I was having difficulty with the new man the other week and he was really sweet. No plan to get back together, but he is the kind of guy you could be just friends with (very gentlemanly, wouldn't make a pass even when drunk) and I think I am detached enough now to be friends too.

Anyway, this year is going to be all about me - getting health, work and finances on track. The social life I am happy with - blessed with lots of lovely friends and plenty of things to do, but the rest need work. Romance can wait till those are more settled. (You just know I am going to meet the man of my dreams next week now I have said that of course, life has a habit of laughing at our plans!)

I have a good day planned to get started tomorrow - personal training in the morning, abel and cole delivery coming - think will be on the green juices and smoothies for a day or two to settle my stomach, then massage and facial in the afternoon and yoga in the evening. Will take some measurements to use as a base - no more hiding from the scales!

    Happy fabbing all x
