Hope your cold is a bit better today, *chanie*
In honour of fab Friday, and because the fabbing slid a bit yesterday, I've put on one of my "special" body lotions and took the time to blow dry my hair properly before straightening.
Make up and perfume on and a reasonably smart casual outfit - off to see DS2 off on his trip in a bit.

    Good morning lovely ladies.

    Fab Friday.

It's a stay at home day getting down and dirty with the decluttering so can't really dress up as such but I'm bathed and fragrant and wearing my black/multicoloured (and I mean lurid:D) loose fitting stretch jersey trousers, black top, matching jade green cardigan.

The YMCA have been and collected two chest of drawers, a second freezer, two fish tanks, a box of kitchenalia and a fake Christmas tree.

Just enjoying brunch and then a tip run later. Maybe a bit more kondoing....;) Need to make the most of it whilst I'm in the zone.:rotfl:

I'm thinking I might buy a new bed. Mine is a standard double but it's quite a tight fit in my current bedroom. I don't fancy a single so am thinking a small double - 4 ft wide instead of 4'6".

The old marital bed was a king size with four drawers underneath which I found really useful. I got rid of it for emotional reasons. My current bed has no storage and I really miss it so I'm thinking a new slightly smaller bed with drawers will give me both extra storage and fit better in the room.

Received the legal pack from the solicitors so will need to get that sorted over the weekend.

Hope you feel better soon Chanie. So far. Don't seem to have caught DS2s lurgy. Keeping my fingers crossed....

I have a 4ft bed with 2 drawers LL, possibly surplus to requirements. You can have it if you want to collect before my next round of building work starts in mid-March (I'm hoping to put my 4'6" bed in there and get myself a bigger one...)

It's barely used - was someone else's spare bed (used about twice) and then mine (used about twice). So if you wanted to make the trip down, you're welcome to it!

    Hi fabbers,

I'm still congested, but feeling much better.

We had a relaxed day at home and I did quite a bit of tidying up, although the children have undone all of my work!!!

OHs car needs fixing and whilst it can be driven, we are keeping driving to a minimum until it can be fixed. The children so go a bit stir-crazy when they spend the day indoors and the library is only a short drive away, so we popped there. I don't get the chance to read much, but borrowed a couple of books.

I did join in Fab Friday but as usual fairly casual. Skinny jeans, long jumper and boots. After the discussion on eye make up I remembered I had a soft, brown eye pencil. It's probably not as good as having kohl and grey would probably be better but it is allowing me to experiment with eye liner.

Funnily enough although I know I haven't got winter make up look 100% right yet just making an effort makes me feel good. Roll on summer when I don't need to keep counteracting the pasty face.:)

I did a bit of kondoing yesterday and summer/holiday clothes are now at an all time low. Now all the sales are over it'll be good to see what starts coming in for Spring/Summer. One thing I do fancy is a denim skirt.

Not much got done here today other than meal planning, food shopping and a few essential emails.

Socially it's been a bit quiet for the last couple of weeks which has its upside as when I'm not eating out I make much more sensible food choices which keeps me trim. My niece's wedding is in two weeks time so I'm confident I'll fit into my outfit. Planning to have shellac nails done for the first time in months and I must make an appointment for eyebrow waxing too.

Hope everyone has a good weekend coming up.:)

    Happy Valentines Day

Good afternoon lovely ladies. Very quiet in here - hope that's because you are all looking and feeling fab-u-Lous and having a great time.

Speaking of Valentine's Day. I have to say I'm struggling a bit.

I used to love Februray, our wedding anniversary, Valentine's Day, half term when OH would take a few days off so we could have some nice family time and then Making preparations for his birthday, none of that now, plus the 10th was the 18 month aNniversary of his death.....

So all. In all I have felt a bit low this last week or so, plus my tummy problems aren't really easing off - they see to come and go. Blood tests tomorrow so hopefully we might get to find out the root cause. I still think it's likely to be the tale end of something I picked up on holiday and hopefully nothing too nasty, but I can understand the GP wants to double check everything. I'm a bit worried about my insulin levels, my genetic inheritance is not good and I have been rather silly with my diet just lately.

I've really not helped myself - my healthy eating has all gone to pot and after a dreadful night with abdominal pain (popcorn??) I have decided it's time to get serious. I have also gained 2 lbs so not good.

Im plainly getting it all wrong so it's back to square one and strict Paleo.

However, It's not all doom and gloom......

I had a great week with the kondoing......and aiming to do some more next week. And I did win £50 on the premium bonds.:rotfl:

It's a lovely day so going to pop out for a little walk......

    Have a lovely day

For those in a relationship - enjoy. And for us singletons - well treat yourselves to something nice,.......Flowers, chocolate or just a nice pamper session.:D

So sorry you're feeling out of sorts, *LL* - it must be especially hard at times like Valentine's, Christmas etc.
I hope you get your tummy trouble sorted soon. Do you take pro biotics at all? I do find they help me a bit if I remember to take them regularly. Well done on the PB win though:)
I was lurking on the SW thread earlier and getting quite inspired - my attempts at healthy eating have been a bit hit and miss and like you I need to stick to a more disciplined way of eating - my meals are ok, I just do a bit too much snacking - and not the healthy kind!
We don't really "do" Valentine's, to be honest so it's just
been a walk with the dog, watching Footie and a Chilli slow cooking in the Oven for later, here:)
Comfy jeans and a chunky jumper on today but I did put on some tinted moisturiser and mascara and a spray of perfume, whereas I'd normally go completely bare faced on a day like today!
I did fab up a bit yesterday and we drove out to a nice country village for a browse around some of the antique shops (though there was more junk in them than antiques!), and a nice pub lunch.
Might watch a Movie later - I bought Mr Turner ages ago on DVD and we've not got around to watching it yet.
Anyway - enough rambling from me; hope you're all well x

Strange but I enjoy rambling posts!;)

We went to see Mr Turner when it was in the cinema and enjoyed it. Once you get over the fact that he seems to grunt a lot it's a good story.

Sorry to hear you're a bit down LL. February is a difficult time of the year anyway and then you have all the memories to contend with:grouphug:.

We don't really 'do' Valentine's Day either but, in recent years, I've been buying the M&S meal to make things a bit special. We decided to have it last night and very enjoyable it was too. Today we've been for a lovely stroll down on the waterfront so that was enjoyable. I did get a bit fabbed up in that I did my make up and wore perfume but clothes were designed to be warm rather than glamorous. In fact, I get pleasure from the fact that I was dressed appropriately (jeans, boots, scarf and Puffa parka) for the occasion as much as I do for, say, a black tie event.

I know I'm a bit of a SW bore but the thread really is very supportive and friendly and I've found the healthy eating plan really works for me. Hope you get back to the Paleo very soon LL and back on track with your weightloss in readiness for looking fab for the wedding. Sounds like your GP is working through eliminating various possibilities so let's hope the blood test tells them something.

I've got a couple of lunches out planned in the coming week so good reasons to get fabbed up. Weather looks reasonable too for most of the week so perhaps I'll be able to drag DH out for another walk.

    Have a good week all:).
