Piratey Copehagen sounds amazing. I like the idea of going to cities which aren't the 'typical' tourist destinations (e.g. Paris).
LL are you going to get a tattoo, too?0 -

Not me.......too much of a wimp, but I think I'm going to be more adventurous with my hair colour and my clothes.........and of course MY LIFE.......
No I meant having a "third life crisis".
Time to loosen the metaphorical "corsets" and let rip - I'm not getting any younger. There's just so much I want to see and do.
I know this sounds awful but I'm sure you will understand but having spent so long dealing with sickness and death and trying to get my health back again I feel that I have lived in the shadows for the past 10 years or so.
I feel like I have been at the chrysalis stage for what seems like an age. Time to emerge into the sunlight like a dazzling butterfly. Just want to get this clutter out of my life, get DS2s house finished and then move forward.
Copenhagen sounds wonderful.....
Had A call from solicitors, vendors want a quick completion.....suits me fine. Just keeping fingers crossed.0 -
I know what you mean, *LL*- I'm getting an itch to try new things and see new sights. With me,lack of confidence has always been an issue, but I'm trying to overcome this and make a start on a bucket list of sorts!
Keeping fingers crossed that the apartment is yours very soon!
*Chanie*, hope you're feeling a bit better now:)
*Piratey* Glad you've sorted your trip. Very brave of you to go for a tattoo! Is it a small one?:)0 -
ll and ellsbell good luck with reinventing yourselves. I feel like I've come out of the end of a couple of years of transition myself. When I was in my early 20s, my focus was on getting my career off the ground, my own home and then children. After having my first child, I remember not knowing what I wanted to do with myself and feeling a bit lost. I do think that fabbing helps keep me focussed about not loosing sight of myself.
ll fingers crossed for you!!!
ellsbell what's on your bucket list?0 -
Hi everyone, I've enjoyed reading your posts today, reinvention, tattoo's, travel ect, you ladies rock, as someone who sometimes feels invisible too, you are an inspiration.0

Catch up tomorrow:).0 -
Quickie from me this morning - I've got up with a cracking headache so I'm going to limit screen time today and generally rest my eyes a bit as the pain is behind my eyes.
DS2 is off on a school skiing trip tomorrow so today will be spent getting everything washed, ironed and packed. Grocery shop is being delivered too, so will put that away but probably not much else.
Next week, I'll be decluttering and house fabbing; I may try tackling the Kondo book again and adapting it a bit - need to start working on finding those things that bring me joy!
Have a good day all, I'll be back tomorrow x0 -
Just arranged for ymca to do a pick up tomorrow of all the heavy items. Not sure if they will take it all, what they can't use we will take to the tip.
I have really got the Kondo bit between my teeth at the moment.....
Glorious day so am just off out for a walk. Almost Spring like.
Wearing jeans and a "Nordic style" sweater. Lovely and cosy. Will add a cardi jacket on top whilst I go out.0 -

Same here and I'm hoping for a walk too. If all else fails I'll walk around the block!:)0 -
I'm still full of cold, but feeling slightly better. DS has an inset day tomorrow. The advantage of this means I don't have to get up to take him to school and he can entertain DD. The disadvantage is that I'll have double the work!!!0
