Hello all. Brief post before I pack for weekend away with the boyfriend - we're staying with his oldest friend who he was in a band with when they were at school together tonight and then an old friend of mine from when I first started work after university tomorrow. First time we will have met people who are really important to each other so hopefully it will go well.
Not been very fab this last month so need to get a bit of a grip this month. Main goal is to do the exercises the physio gave me this week to do for my calves so that they don't stop me from running, otherwise exercise is going well.
Also want to get my diet and sleep routine under control as without that nothing else gets done. I fall into bed shattered without doing my night time routine and my face ends up dehydrated.
I really should do more make up etc, but when my skin looks well I can get away without it. At least I am dressing well and accessorizing. I feel quite plain if I don't wear a bit of jewellery and that sort of thing.
Hope all of you who have been sick are back to normal soon and back fabbing.0 -
Good morning lovely ladies.
Great list Coppers.
Hope you poorly ones are feeling better.
DS2 has been really unwell. He booked a week off work and has been poorly all week so all our plans fell by the wayside. I hope he doesn't pass it on to me.....
Yesterday.......Tbh I found it difficult and did dip a bit.
Indie - I too am looking a bit "peaky" - rather pale and a bit strained. Sleep is a bit patchy and not a lot of energy. I have eaten too many carbs recently so feel quite lethargic. I definitely need to,get back on track.
Very pleased with the dermalogica, my skin feels a lot happier so definitely going to make this my go to range. I will use up the unwanted stuff as body lotions and foot creams rather than waste it.
Have a Fab Friday .......
Good luck today Ellsbel.0 -
Does anyone (I'm looking at you LL) have any suggestions for a location for a three day city break for the end of March. It's my OH's 30th so I want to take him away for the weekend. I want to go somewhere we haven't been before, so not Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam or Stockholm. No more goo hoarding!

Porto or Lisbon - lots to do in both, lovely food, especially if you like port as the Port Institute in Lisbon is amazing and there are any number of port houses to visit in Porto. Both places are comfortable at that time of year, warm spring weather. Lots of ranging-in-price hotels & food options too.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Happy Fab Friday everyone.
I think I have a cold coming on and feeling very stuffed up.
Did not bother weighing myself today as I don't think I have lost anything.
I am going to try the 5:2 diet and OH is going to try it with me so that will make things easier.
LL - I feel for you, it can't be easy.
Coppers - Love the list.
I am still keeping up the fabbing on myself and my house is looking so much better with all the fabbing I have been doing there.
Have a lovely weekend everyone.0 -
End of March...... Three days means I'm guessing you won't want a long flight.
.Italy can still be chilly, Greece can be warmer but I think longer flights.
I agree with Floss Go West Young Woman :rotfl: - well south/south west.........at least if you want warmth - although no guarantees unless you head towards the equator but certainly warmer than here.
Portugal, Spain should be warming up nicely. Seville, Jerez, Valencia are lovely cities, not been to Granada but I hear it's nice. And of course Barcelona. All around 2-3 hr flights.
Lisbon looked good, not been to Porto. Cannes and Nice are good, a bit nearer but not sure How warm, might be a bit early. Madeira will be warm but you might find it a bit too quiet. I think about 3.5 hour flight.
If you want fun and frolics and aren't too worried about sun, then places like Talin and Rekyavik, Prague, Berlin, Budapest - are all fun and happening destinations - 3 days are just about right.
Vienna maybe? Not been but my friend liked it.
Ok I can't resist it.
"It means nothing to me"........lol.
(Every time anyone mentioned Vienna my husband would sing that song!! Drove us all crazy - in the end we wouldn't say it out loud, we called it the "V" word.).
If you fancy the UK then Bath, York, Durham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin although with the exception of Bath they are all likely to be absolutely freezing.
They can all be very cold - even in July and August ..........;)
Sounds like a fabulous birthday present......0 -
Thanks for your suggestions. Not too concerned about sunshine (OH is very pale!) and at the moment am leaning towards either Prague or Barcelona. I would like to go to Berlin but he never seemed to keen so maybe that can be for my birthdayNo more goo hoarding!
